2. Setup and Assembly

Your Movcan V60 Electric Bike arrives approximately 90% assembled. The remaining assembly typically involves attaching the front wheel, handlebars, pedals, and seat. A basic tool kit is included for convenience.

3. Operating Your Electric Bike

3.1 Powering On and Off

To power on the bike, press and hold the power button on the LCD display. To power off, repeat the process. The bike also features a power button on the back of the seat for an additional control point.

3.2 Riding Modes

The Movcan V60 offers five distinct riding modes to suit various preferences and terrains:

  • Pure Electric Mode: Engages the motor via throttle for propulsion without pedaling.
  • Pedal Assist (PAS) Mode: Provides motor assistance while you pedal, with adjustable levels of support.
  • Cruise Mode: Maintains a set speed without continuous throttle input.
  • Walk Mode: Provides low-speed motor assistance for walking the bike.
  • Bike Mode: Operates as a traditional bicycle without motor assistance.

3.3 Motor and Speed

Equipped with a 1000W brushless hub motor (1500W peak), the V60 can reach speeds up to 30 MPH. The motor provides significant torque for climbing inclines up to 30 degrees.

3.4 Battery and Charging

The 48V 15.6Ah removable Li-ion battery provides a range of up to 70 miles in PAS mode and 34 miles in pure electric mode. Charging time is approximately 5-6 hours. The battery can be charged while installed on the bike or removed for convenient charging indoors.

3.5 Intelligent LCD Display

The intelligent LCD display provides real-time information including current speed, maximum speed, average speed, battery status, pedal assist level (PAS), trip distance, total mileage, and troubleshooting codes. This allows you to monitor your ride data at a glance.

4. Maintenance

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and safe operation of your Movcan V60 Electric Bike.

4.1 General Care

  • Keep the bike clean, especially after riding in wet or muddy conditions.
  • Store the bike in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Regularly check all fasteners for tightness.

4.2 Brakes

The V60 is equipped with dual hydraulic brakes, offering superior stopping power and responsiveness compared to mechanical brakes. Regularly inspect brake pads for wear and ensure brake levers operate smoothly. If you notice reduced braking performance or unusual noises, have the brakes inspected by a qualified technician.

4.3 Tires

The 20 x 4-inch fat tires are designed for all-terrain performance. Check tire pressure before each ride and maintain it within the recommended range (typically indicated on the tire sidewall). 4.4 Suspension

5. Troubleshooting

  • Bike not powering on: Check if the battery is properly seated and charged. Ensure the key is in the "on" position if applicable.
  • Motor not assisting: Verify that the PAS level is not set to zero and that the throttle is engaged (if in pure electric mode). Check for any error codes on the LCD display.
  • Reduced range: This can be due to riding conditions (e.g., steep hills, strong headwinds), excessive use of throttle, low tire pressure, or battery degradation over time.
  • Brake noise: New brakes may make some noise. If noise persists or braking performance is affected, inspect brake pads and rotors for contamination or wear.
