3. Setup and Initial Use

3.1 Charging the Devices

Before first use, fully charge both the remote control and the receiver collar. The universal USB charging cable allows you to charge both devices simultaneously.

  1. Connect the USB charging cable to the charging ports on both the remote control and the receiver collar.
  2. Plug the USB cable into a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.
  3. Charging indicators will illuminate. Allow approximately 2 hours for a full charge.
  4. Once fully charged, the devices can operate for 15-20 days, depending on usage.

3.2 Fitting the Collar

Proper fit of the receiver collar is crucial for effective operation and your pet's comfort.

  1. Attach the receiver unit to the nylon collar strap.
  2. Place the collar around your dog's neck, ensuring the contact points touch the skin.
  3. Adjust the nylon strap to a snug fit. You should be able to fit two fingers comfortably between the collar and your dog's neck. The collar is adjustable for neck sizes from 6 cm to 25 cm, suitable for dogs weighing 7 kg to 50 kg.
  4. Avoid overtightening, as this can cause skin irritation. A loose collar will prevent consistent contact and reduce effectiveness.

3.3 Pairing the Remote and Receiver

The remote control and receiver collar are typically pre-paired. If they do not connect, follow these steps:

  1. Ensure both devices are charged and powered on.
  2. Press and hold the power button on the receiver collar until the indicator light flashes rapidly.
  3. Within 10 seconds, press a training mode button (e.g., Vibration or Sound) on the remote control.
  4. If pairing is successful, the receiver's indicator light will stop flashing and remain solid, or emit a confirmation sound.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Training Modes

The training collar offers four distinct modes to address various training needs:

  • Strong Vibration: Delivers a more intense vibration for stubborn behaviors.
  • Vibration: Provides a standard vibration stimulus.
  • Light: Activates an LED light on the receiver, useful for locating your pet in low light conditions.
  • Sound: Emits an audible tone.

The vibration modes (Strong Vibration and Vibration) have adjustable intensity levels from 0 to 99, allowing you to customize the stimulus to your dog's temperament and the specific training situation. Use the '+' and '-' buttons on the remote to adjust the intensity.

4.2 Operational Range

The training collar system provides an extensive operational range of up to 800 meters (approximately 2600 feet) in open areas. This allows for flexible training in various environments such as your backyard, a park, or other open spaces.

Note that obstacles like buildings, dense foliage, or uneven terrain can reduce the effective range. For optimal performance, maintain a clear line of sight between the remote control and the receiver collar.

4.3 Automatic Standby Mode

To conserve battery life, both the remote control and the receiver collar will enter a standby mode if there is no operation for 5 minutes. To reactivate, simply press any button on the remote control.

5. Maintenance and Care

5.1 Charging

Regularly charge your devices to ensure they are ready for use. A full charge takes approximately 2 hours and provides 15-20 days of operation.

5.2 Water Resistance

The receiver collar is designed to be waterproof and can be used in damp weather or during water play. However, it is not recommended to use the collar when your dog is swimming, as prolonged submersion may affect its performance or cause discomfort to your pet.

5.3 Cleaning and Storage

Clean the collar and remote control regularly with a damp cloth. Ensure the contact points on the receiver are clean to maintain proper function. Store the device in a dry place when not in use.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Device not responding: Check battery levels of both remote and receiver. Ensure they are charged and powered on. Re-pair the devices if necessary (refer to Section 3.3).
  • Collar not delivering stimulus: Verify the collar is properly fitted and the contact points are touching your dog's skin. Ensure the intensity level is set above 0. Use the test light to confirm the receiver is functioning.
  • Short battery life: Ensure both devices are fully charged for 2 hours. Frequent use of higher intensity settings or continuous operation may reduce battery life. The automatic standby mode helps conserve power.
  • Reduced range: Ensure there are no significant obstacles between the remote and the receiver. Move to an open area to test the full range.
