5. Setup and Assembly
Follow these steps carefully to assemble your Giantex Twin Daybed with Trundle. It is recommended to have two adults for assembly.
Preparation:
- Clear a spacious area for assembly.
- Lay out all components on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches.
- Identify all parts and hardware using the provided parts list (if applicable, or refer to diagrams).
- Do not fully tighten bolts until all components are loosely assembled.
Assembly Steps:
- Assemble the Main Daybed Frame: Attach the backrest and armrests to the side rails and front rail using the provided bolts and an Allen wrench. Ensure all connections are aligned before tightening.
- Install Daybed Slats: Place the metal slats onto the daybed frame. Secure them according to the instructions, ensuring even spacing and firm attachment.
- Assemble the Trundle Frame: Connect the trundle frame components. Attach the four lockable casters to the bottom of the trundle frame.
- Install Trundle Slats: Place the metal slats onto the trundle frame, securing them in position.
- Attach Trundle Support Leg: Secure the additional support leg to the trundle frame. Use the hook and loop fastener to fix the leg in place when folded, allowing for easy push-in and pull-out of the trundle.
- Final Tightening: Once all components are in place and aligned, fully tighten all bolts and screws on both the daybed and trundle frames.

6. Operating Instructions
Using the Daybed:
The main frame serves as a comfortable seating area during the day. Place a twin-size mattress (3"-5" thick) on the slats. Add cushions and throws to enhance its function as a sofa.
Using the Trundle:
- Unlock Casters: Ensure the four casters on the trundle are in the unlocked position.
- Pull Out: Gently pull the trundle out from under the daybed. The foldable middle leg will extend as it is pulled out.
- Position: Once fully extended, position the trundle as desired.
- Lock Casters: Push down the locking mechanism on each caster to secure the trundle in place, preventing unwanted movement.
- Push In: To store, unlock the casters, gently push the trundle back under the daybed. The middle support leg will fold and be secured by the hook and loop fastener. Lock the casters once stored.
7. Maintenance and Care
Proper care will extend the life and appearance of your daybed.
- Cleaning: Wipe the metal frame with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, which can damage the finish.
- Regular Checks: Periodically inspect all bolts and screws to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten as necessary to maintain stability and safety.
- Avoid Overloading: Do not exceed the specified weight capacities for the daybed or trundle.
- Protect Finish: Avoid dragging sharp objects across the frame to prevent scratches.
8. Troubleshooting

Solution: Check all bolts and screws and tighten them securely. Ensure the slats are properly seated in their supports. - Trundle Difficult to Pull Out/Push In:
Solution: Ensure the casters are unlocked. Check for any obstructions under the daybed. Verify the middle support leg is folding correctly and not catching. - Instability/Wobbling:
Solution: Confirm that the daybed is on a level surface. Re-check all assembly connections and tighten any loose bolts.
