Setup
1. Power Supply Options
The camera supports three power modes: solar, AA batteries, and external charging. For solar operation, an 18650 battery must be installed inside the camera to store solar energy. For extended use without direct sunlight, 4 AA batteries can be used. An external round hole charger can also be used to charge the internal battery.

2. Battery and SD Card Installation
Open the camera housing. Insert the 18650 battery into its designated slot if using solar power. Insert 4 AA batteries into the battery compartment, ensuring correct polarity. Insert the provided 32GB Micro SD card into the card slot until it clicks into place.

3. Power Switch Operation
The power switch has three positions: OFF, TEST, and ON.
- OFF: Powers down the camera.
- TEST: Activates the camera's display for configuration and settings adjustments. The screen will display "WELCOME" and allow you to navigate menus.
- ON: Initiates working mode. After a brief countdown on the screen, the camera will enter active monitoring, capturing photos or videos based on your settings. Do not switch directly to ON from OFF without configuring settings in TEST mode first.

2. Cleaning
Periodically clean the camera lens and solar panel with a soft, dry cloth to ensure optimal performance. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
3. Battery Care
If using AA batteries, ensure they are fresh and of good quality. For solar-powered operation, ensure the solar panel receives sufficient sunlight to maintain the internal 18650 battery's charge. If the camera will be stored for an extended period, remove all batteries.
Troubleshooting
Camera Not Turning On / Screen Blank
- Ensure batteries (AA and/or 18650) are correctly installed and charged.
- Verify the power switch is in the TEST position to access the display and settings. Switching directly to ON will not activate the screen for user interaction.
Poor Battery Life
- Use high-quality, fresh AA batteries. Rechargeable NiMH AA cells are recommended.
- For solar power, ensure the solar panel is clean and receives adequate direct sunlight. The internal 18650 battery needs sufficient charge.
- Reduce the frequency of recordings or adjust PIR sensitivity if the camera is triggering excessively.
Cannot Transfer Files to Computer
- The primary method for data transfer is by removing the Micro SD card and using a card reader to connect it to your computer.
- While the camera has a USB port, it may not be recognized as a mass storage device by all computers for direct file transfer.
Missed Recordings
- Check PIR sensor sensitivity settings; increase if necessary.
- Ensure the camera's field of view is clear and not obstructed.
- Verify that the camera is in ON mode for active monitoring.
