2. Setup

2.1 Setting the Time

  1. Pull the crown (located on the right side of the watch case) out to position 2.
  2. Turn the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to adjust the hour and minute hands to the desired time.
  3. Push the crown back into position 1 to start the watch.

2.2 Setting the Date

  1. Pull the crown out to position 1 (first click).
  2. Turn the crown clockwise to adjust the date. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this may interfere with the automatic date change mechanism.
  3. Once the correct date is displayed, push the crown back into its original position.

2.3 Adjusting the Strap

The watch features a mesh strap. To adjust its length, locate the clasp mechanism. Use a small tool (such as a flat-head screwdriver) to lift the locking plate on the clasp. Slide the clasp along the mesh band to the desired length, then press the locking plate back down firmly to secure it.

3. Operating Your Watch

3.1 Timekeeping

Your GLOCK GW-12 watch is equipped with a precise Quartz movement, ensuring accurate timekeeping. The hour, minute, and second hands indicate the current time.

3.2 Date Display

The date is displayed in a window on the dial. It automatically advances once every 24 hours. Refer to section 2.2 for manual date adjustment.

3.3 Swiss Super-LumiNova

The hands and indices of your watch are treated with Swiss Super-LumiNova, a luminous material that absorbs light and emits it in low-light conditions, allowing for easy readability in the dark. Exposure to light will recharge the luminescence.

3.4 Water Resistance (10 ATM / 100 Meters)

Your GLOCK GW-12 watch is water-resistant up to 10 ATM (100 meters). This means it is suitable for swimming, snorkeling, and showering. However, it is not recommended for scuba diving or high-impact water sports. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

Regularly clean your watch with a soft, damp cloth. For the metal strap, a soft brush can be used to remove dirt from between the links. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the watch's finish or seals.

4.2 Battery Replacement

The watch is powered by a 12V battery (included). When the battery runs low, the watch may stop or lose accuracy. Battery replacement should be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure the water resistance and proper functioning of the watch are maintained.

4.3 Sapphire Crystal Care

The 2mm scratch-resistant sapphire crystal offers superior durability. While highly resistant to scratches, it is not entirely impervious. Avoid unnecessary impact or contact with extremely hard surfaces to preserve its pristine condition.

5. Troubleshooting

  • Watch not running: Check if the crown is fully pushed in. If it is, the battery may need replacement.
  • Incorrect time/date: Refer to the 'Setting the Time' and 'Setting the Date' sections (2.1 and 2.2) to reset.
  • Condensation under crystal: If condensation appears under the crystal, it may indicate a loss of water resistance. Have the watch inspected by a professional immediately to prevent internal damage.
  • Luminosity fading: Ensure the watch is exposed to sufficient light to charge the Super-LumiNova.
