Setup and Assembly

The JOMEED Office Desk Chair is designed for straightforward assembly. All necessary tools and instructions are included in the packaging.

Unboxing and Component Check:

Carefully open the packaging. All components are typically bubble-wrapped for protection. Verify all parts are present and undamaged against the included parts list before proceeding with assembly.

Assembly Steps:

1. Attach the Base: Secure the 5-legged metal base to the chair mechanism using the provided hardware.
2. Install Casters: Firmly insert the 360° mute casters into the designated slots on the base.
3. Connect Gas Lift: Place the BIFMA-certified Class 3 gas lift into the center opening of the assembled base.
4. Attach Seat and Backrest: Carefully align and secure the seat and backrest components to the chair mechanism.
5. Install Armrests: Attach the armrests to the chair using the provided bolts. Note that armrests can be optionally omitted if desired for specific desk configurations or user preference.

Operating Instructions

Height Adjustment:

To adjust the chair's height, locate the lever under the seat, typically on the right side. Pull the lever upwards while seated to lower the chair, or pull the lever upwards while standing to raise the chair. Release the lever at the desired height to lock it in place.

Recline Function:

The chair features a 90-115° reclining mode. To recline, pull the lever under the seat (this may be the same lever as for height adjustment, or a separate one) outwards to unlock the recline mechanism. Lean back to your desired angle and push the lever inwards to lock the position. To return to an upright position, lean forward slightly and pull the lever outwards, then release it when upright.

Tilt and Tension Control:

A knob located under the seat (usually at the front) controls the tilt tension. Turn the knob clockwise to increase tension, making it harder to recline, or counter-clockwise to decrease tension, allowing for easier reclining.

Maintenance

Cleaning:

The PU leather upholstery is designed for easy cleaning. Use a soft, damp cloth with mild soap and water to wipe down surfaces. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that may damage the material. The armrest covers are zippable and can be removed for more thorough cleaning if necessary.

General Care:

• Regularly check all bolts and screws to ensure they are tight and secure.
• Keep the chair away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent material degradation and fading.
• Avoid standing on the chair or using it for purposes other than seating to prevent damage or injury.

Troubleshooting

Chair Not Adjusting Height:

Ensure the gas lift lever is fully engaged or disengaged as required. Check for any obstructions around the gas lift cylinder that might impede its movement.

Chair Squeaks or Wobbles:

Tighten all assembly bolts. Lubricate moving parts, such as the casters or tilt mechanism, with a silicone-based lubricant if necessary to reduce friction and noise.

Casters Not Rolling Smoothly:

Check casters for trapped debris (e.g., hair, lint, small particles) and clean them thoroughly. Ensure the casters are securely inserted into the base.
