2. Safety Information

3. Setup

3.2. Wiring Instruction

The pump requires a 220-240V AC power supply. It operates on single-phase Hot-Hot-Ground electrical systems. No neutral wire is required for 220V operation. The pump must be permanently connected by a circuit breaker as specified in the local electrical code.

  • Prepare the pump wire extension.
  • Peel off the black cable skin to reveal the 3 wires inside.
  • Strip each cable by 2/3 inch with a wire stripper.
  • Strip the insulation to reveal 1/5 inch copper wire.
  • Connect the wires: Black (Phase 1/L1), White (Phase 2/L2), Green (Ground/GND). The order of L1 and L2 does not matter.

3.3. Outlet/Inlet Connection Methods

The pump is equipped with two adapter interfaces (1.5in and 2in) for versatile compatibility with both in-ground and above-ground pool systems.

  • Method 1: Use 1.5" or 2" schedule 40 PVC Pipe.
  • Method 2: Use 1.5" or 2" PVC Pipe Glue Connection + 1.5" or 2" PVC Hose with Clamp.

3.4. Placement and Installation

Place the pump on a solid, level surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the motor. The pump should be installed as close to the pool as possible to minimize friction loss in the suction line.

4. Operating the Pump

5.1. Filter Basket Cleaning

The extra-large filter basket effectively captures debris such as leaves, hair, branches, and grit. Regular cleaning of the filter basket is crucial for maintaining optimal pump performance and preventing clogs.

  • Rotate the lid counter-clockwise to open.
  • Remove the basket and empty any collected debris.

  • Securely close the lid by rotating it clockwise until tight.
