4. Setup
Follow these steps to set up your dehumidifier:
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging. Retain the packaging for future storage or transport.
- Placement: Place the unit upright on a firm, level surface in the desired location. Ensure there is at least 20 cm (8 inches) of clear space around all sides of the unit to allow for proper air circulation. Avoid placing it near walls, furniture, or curtains that might obstruct airflow.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the voltage matches the specifications of the unit.
- Water Tank: Ensure the water tank is correctly seated in the unit. The unit will not operate if the tank is not properly installed or is full.
- Continuous Drainage (Optional): For continuous operation without needing to empty the water tank, attach the included draining pipe to the continuous drainage outlet on the back of the unit. Route the hose to a floor drain or a larger container, ensuring the hose is sloped downwards to allow gravity drainage.

WiFi Connection:
- Download the 'Smart Life' app from your smartphone's app store.
- Register or log in to your account.
- Ensure your dehumidifier is plugged in and powered on.
- Follow the in-app instructions to add your device. The dehumidifier supports 2.4GHz WiFi networks only.
5. Operating Instructions
Familiarize yourself with the control panel and its functions:

- Power Button: Press to turn the unit ON or OFF.
- Mode Button: Cycle through available operating modes: Dehumidify and Clothes Drying.
- Humidity Setting: In Dehumidify mode, use the Up/Down buttons to set your desired humidity level (e.g., 40% - 60% RH is generally recommended). The unit will operate until this level is reached.
- Timer Function: Set a timer for the unit to automatically turn ON or OFF after a specified number of hours.
- Ionizer: Activate the built-in ionizer to release negative ions, which help purify and freshen the air by reducing dust, allergens, and odors.

- Child Lock: Press and hold the designated button (refer to control panel diagram) to activate or deactivate the child lock, preventing accidental changes to settings.
- Auto Defrost: The unit features an automatic defrost function that activates when frost builds up on the evaporator coils, ensuring efficient operation in cooler temperatures.
- Water Tank Full Indicator & Auto Shut-Off: When the 3.2L water tank is full, an indicator light will illuminate, and the unit will automatically shut off to prevent overflow. Empty the tank and reinsert it to resume operation.
- Smart WiFi App Control: Use the 'Smart Life' app on your smartphone to remotely control all functions of the dehumidifier, including power, mode, humidity settings, and timer.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your dehumidifier.
- Cleaning the Air Filter: The dehumidifier is equipped with a washable and reusable air filter. It is recommended to clean the filter every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage and air quality.
- Turn off the unit and unplug it from the power outlet.
- Remove the filter from the back or side of the unit (refer to Figure 3.2 for filter location).
- Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and allow it to air dry completely before reinserting.
- Do not operate the dehumidifier without the filter installed.

- Cleaning the Water Tank: Empty and clean the water tank regularly to prevent mold and mildew growth. Use mild detergent and water, rinse thoroughly, and dry before reinserting.
- Cleaning the Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Storage: If storing the unit for an extended period, ensure the water tank is empty and clean, and the filter is clean and dry. Store the unit upright in a cool, dry place.
