10. Water Resistance Guidelines
Your SKMEI Model 2440 watch has a water resistance rating of 50 meters (5 ATM). This means it is suitable for daily use, including hand washing, rain exposure, and cold showers. It is not suitable for swimming, diving, or hot water activities.
- Do not press any buttons while the watch is submerged in water.
- Avoid exposing the watch to hot water or steam (e.g., hot showers, saunas, hot tubs) as this can compromise the seals.
- After exposure to saltwater, rinse the watch with fresh water and dry it thoroughly.

11. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth and mild soap, then dry thoroughly.
- Avoid Chemicals: Do not expose the watch to solvents, detergents, perfumes, or cosmetics, as these can damage the case, strap, or seals.
- Temperature Extremes: Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures (both hot and cold) for prolonged periods.
- Battery Replacement: When the display becomes dim or functions become erratic, the battery may need replacement. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by a qualified watch technician to ensure water resistance is maintained.
- Storage: Store the watch in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
12. Troubleshooting
- Display is blank: The battery may be depleted. Replace the battery.
- Buttons not responding: Ensure the watch is not in a locked mode (if applicable, though not a feature on this model). Try resetting the watch by removing and reinserting the battery (professional service recommended).
