5. Setup

5.1 Hardware Connection

1. Attach Wi-Fi Antenna: Screw the omnidirectional Wi-Fi antenna onto the designated connector on the device.
2. Connect to LED Display: Use an Ethernet cable to connect the 'LED Out' port on the TB1-4G to the input port of your LED display.
3. Network Connection:
   • Wired: Connect an Ethernet cable from your network router/switch to the 'Ethernet' port on the TB1-4G.
   • Wireless (Wi-Fi): The device supports Wi-Fi AP/STA modes. Configuration is typically done via software.
   • 4G (Optional): If using 4G, insert a compatible SIM card into the SIM card slot. An EG25 module is required for 4G functionality.
4. Audio Connection (Optional): If audio output is required, connect speakers or an audio system to the 3.5mm 'Audio' port.
5. Power On: Connect the provided 12V==2A power adapter to the power input port, then plug the adapter into a power outlet. The device will power on automatically.

5.2 Software Configuration

The NovaStar Taurus TB1-4G is managed using NovaStar's software suite. It is recommended to use ViPlex, NovaCloud, or VNNOX for content management and device configuration.

• ViPlex: A local area network (LAN) based software for managing content and device settings.
• NovaCloud/VNNOX: Cloud-based platforms for remote management, content scheduling, and monitoring from smartphones, tablets, or computers.

6.1 Content Management

• Upload Content: Use ViPlex or NovaCloud/VNNOX to upload images, videos, and audio files to the player's internal storage (32GB, expandable via USB).
• Create Playlists: Organize media files into playlists and set playback order and duration.
• Schedule Playback: Schedule content to play at specific times or on recurring schedules.

6.2 Remote Control

The device can be controlled remotely via the NovaStar cloud platforms or locally via ViPlex.

• Cloud Control: Access NovaCloud or VNNOX from any internet-connected device to manage your player.
• Local Control: Use ViPlex on a computer connected to the same local network as the TB1-4G.

6.3 Playback Verification

The TB1-4G includes playback verification features to ensure content is displayed correctly. Monitor playback status through the management software.
