4. Setup and Installation
This section provides general guidelines for installing the GCQ2-63 ATS. Professional installation is highly recommended.
4.1 Mounting
- The ATS is designed for wall mounting.
- Select a dry, well-ventilated location, free from excessive dust, moisture, and corrosive gases.
- Ensure sufficient clearance around the unit for ventilation and wiring access.
- Use appropriate fasteners to securely mount the steel base to a sturdy wall surface. Refer to the installation dimensions (128mm x 122mm for boreholes) for precise placement.

4.2 Wiring
All wiring must comply with local electrical codes and standards. Ensure power is OFF before wiring.
- Connect the normal power source to the terminals labeled "N" (Normal power).
- Connect the backup power source to the terminals labeled "R" (Backup power).
- Connect the load to the designated output terminals.
- The mouth-type wiring terminals are designed for secure connections. Insert wires firmly and tighten screws to prevent loose connections.
- Ensure proper grounding.

5. Operating Instructions
The GCQ2-63 ATS offers both automatic and manual operation modes.
5.1 Mode Selection
The red toggle switch on the front panel controls the operating mode:
- To select Automatic Mode, push the red toggle switch to the left (labeled "Auto"). In this mode, the ATS will automatically detect power failures and switch between normal and backup power sources.
- To select Manual Mode, push the red toggle switch to the right (labeled "Manual"). In this mode, the power transfer must be initiated manually using the blue directional handle.

5.2 Manual Operation
In Manual Mode, use the blue directional handle to switch between power sources:
- To connect to Normal Power, rotate the blue handle towards the "N" (Normal power) side.
- To connect to Backup Power, rotate the blue handle towards the "R" (Backup power) side.
Always ensure the red toggle switch is in the "Manual" position before attempting manual transfer.
5.3 Indicators
The ATS features multiple indicators to show the current power source status. Refer to the labels on the device for specific indicator functions (e.g., "Normal power" and "Backup power" indicators).
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and reliable operation of your GCQ2-63 ATS.
- Periodic Inspection: Annually inspect the unit for any signs of physical damage, loose connections, or corrosion.
- Cleaning: Keep the unit clean and free from dust and debris. Use a dry, soft cloth for cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners.
- Connection Check: Periodically check all wiring connections to ensure they are tight and secure.
- Functionality Test: If safe to do so, periodically test the automatic transfer function by simulating a power outage (e.g., by temporarily disconnecting the normal power source, if applicable and safe).
Warning: Always disconnect all power sources before performing any maintenance or inspection.
7. Troubleshooting
This section provides solutions to common issues. For problems not listed here, contact qualified service personnel.
7.1 No Power Transfer
- Check Power Sources: Verify that both normal and backup power sources are active and supplying the correct voltage.
- Check Mode Selection: Ensure the red toggle switch is in the "Auto" position for automatic transfer. If in "Manual" mode, perform a manual transfer.
- Check Wiring: Inspect all wiring connections for looseness or damage.
- Internal Fault: If indicators show an internal fault or the unit does not respond, discontinue use and seek professional assistance.
7.2 Unit Not Responding
- Verify Input Power: Confirm that at least one power source is connected and active.
- Reset: If applicable, try cycling power to the unit (disconnect both sources, wait 30 seconds, then reconnect).
7.3 Overload/Short Circuit Protection Activated
- Identify Cause: Determine the cause of the overload or short circuit in the connected load.
- Reset: After resolving the issue, the unit may automatically reset or require a manual reset (refer to specific indicator lights for guidance).
