2. Safety Instructions

  • Keep the product away from direct heat sources and open flames.
  • Do not overload the bin beyond its 50L capacity.
  • Ensure the bin is placed on a stable, level surface to prevent tipping.
  • Keep children and pets away from the moving lid mechanism to prevent injury.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals on the stainless steel surface, as this may damage the finish.
  • Dispose of waste responsibly and in accordance with local regulations.

3. Package Contents

Upon unpacking, please ensure all components are present and undamaged:

  • 1 x HOMCOM 50L Stainless Steel Pedal Bin (Main Unit)

4. Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the pedal bin and its inner bucket from the packaging.
  2. Position: Place the bin in your desired location, ensuring it is on a flat, stable surface and there is enough clearance for the lid to open fully.
  3. Insert Inner Bucket: Place the removable inner bucket inside the stainless steel outer shell. Ensure it sits securely at the bottom.

5. Operating Instructions

  1. Opening the Lid (Pedal Operation): Gently press down on the foot pedal located at the base of the bin. The lid will open smoothly. Release the pedal to allow the lid to close softly and silently.
  2. Stay-Open Function: For tasks requiring the lid to remain open for an extended period, such as during meal preparation or when changing the trash bag, manually lift the lid to a 90-degree angle. The lid will stay open in this position, providing hands-free access. To close, gently push the lid down until the soft-close mechanism engages.
  3. Changing the Trash Bag: Once the trash bag is full, lift the lid using the stay-open function. Remove the inner bucket by lifting it using its integrated handles. Carefully remove the full trash bag, dispose of it, and replace it with a new one, securing it with the bag fixer. Reinsert the inner bucket into the main unit.
