3. Setup & Installation

  1. Mount Front Dash Cam: Securely mount the front dash cam to your windshield using the provided 3M adhesive mount. Ensure it does not obstruct your view.
  2. Install Rear Camera: Install the rear camera on your rear windshield. Route the rear camera cable discreetly to the front unit, typically along the headliner and A-pillars.
  3. Power Connection: Plug the USB-C power cable into the dash cam and connect it to the 12V outlet adapter. Insert the adapter into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. Alternatively, use a direct USB-C connection if available.
  4. Insert SD Card: The VREC-Z820DC includes a 128GB SD card. Insert it into the designated slot on the dash cam. The device supports up to 512GB SD cards.
  5. Initial Power On: Start your vehicle. The dash cam should power on automatically.
  6. Adjust Settings: Use the touchscreen display or connect via the Pioneer Ai-Sense App to adjust initial settings such as date, time, video resolution, and G-Sensor sensitivity.
