5. Maintenance

Battery Care:

The PowerMax 6000 uses a durable LiFePO4 battery, designed for long life and safety. To maximize battery lifespan:

  • Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • Store the unit in a cool, dry place, ideally with a charge level between 50% and 80%.
  • Recharge the unit every 3-6 months if not in regular use to prevent deep discharge.

Cleaning:

Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure all ports are free of dust and debris.

Storage:

When storing the unit for extended periods, ensure it is charged to approximately 50-80% and stored in a temperature-controlled environment (0°C to 40°C / 32°F to 104°F). Avoid direct sunlight or extreme humidity.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Unit Not Turning On: Ensure the battery is charged. If not, connect to an AC power source and attempt to charge.
  • No Output from AC/DC Ports: Verify that the respective AC or DC power buttons are pressed and activated. Check if the total power draw exceeds the unit's maximum output (6000W).
  • Charging Issues: Ensure charging cables are securely connected. For solar charging, confirm panels are in direct sunlight and correctly oriented.
  • Overload Protection: If the unit shuts down due to overload, disconnect some devices and restart the unit. The PowerMax 6000 has a surge capacity of 9000W, but continuous loads above 6000W will trigger protection.
  • Initial Surge from Large Motors: The unit's Battery Management System (BMS) may shut down if a large motor (e.g., over 3/4 HP air compressor) draws a very high initial surge current. This is a protective measure. If this occurs, a hard reset may be required. Consider using appliances with lower starting current requirements or soft-start features.
