Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to assemble your Bluelander Astronomical Telescope:
- Assemble the Tripod:
Unfold the aluminum alloy tripod legs and extend them to your desired height (between 45 cm and 122 cm). Ensure the legs are fully spread and stable on a flat surface. Tighten any locking mechanisms to secure the tripod's position.

- Attach the Telescope Optical Tube:
Carefully place the telescope optical tube onto the tripod mount. Align the mounting screws or clamps with the corresponding holes on the telescope tube. Securely tighten the screws or clamps to ensure the telescope is firmly attached to the tripod. Do not overtighten.
- Install the Finderscope:
Locate the finderscope and its bracket. Slide the finderscope into the designated slot on the main telescope tube. Tighten the small screws on the bracket to hold the finderscope in place. The finderscope helps in locating objects before viewing them through the main eyepiece.
- Insert Eyepiece and Barlow Lens (Optional):
Loosen the thumbscrews on the focuser. Insert either the 20mm or 10mm eyepiece directly into the focuser. For higher magnification, first insert the 2x Barlow lens into the focuser, then insert an eyepiece into the Barlow lens. Gently tighten the thumbscrews to secure the eyepiece (and Barlow lens) in place. Start with the 20mm eyepiece for a wider field of view to easily locate objects.
- Attach Smartphone Holder:
The smartphone holder can be attached to an eyepiece to capture images. Secure your smartphone into the holder, then attach the holder to the eyepiece. Ensure your phone's camera lens is aligned with the eyepiece for optimal viewing and photography.
- Remote Control Pairing:
Turn on the Bluetooth remote control. On your smartphone, go to Bluetooth settings and pair with the remote control. This will allow you to trigger your phone's camera remotely, reducing vibrations during astrophotography.

Operating Instructions
Once assembled, you are ready to begin observing:
- Locating an Object:
Begin with the lowest magnification eyepiece (20mm) for the widest field of view. Use the finderscope to roughly aim the telescope at your desired celestial object. Once the object is centered in the finderscope, it should be visible in the main telescope eyepiece.
- Focusing:
Turn the focus knob slowly until the image appears sharp and clear. Fine-tune the focus for the best possible view.
- Changing Magnification:
To increase magnification, replace the 20mm eyepiece with the 10mm eyepiece. For even higher magnification, insert the 2x Barlow lens before the eyepiece. Remember that higher magnification reduces brightness and narrows the field of view, making objects harder to track.
- Using the Moon Filter:
The moon filter screws onto the bottom of your eyepiece. It reduces the brightness of the moon, making it more comfortable to observe and revealing finer details on its surface.
- Smartphone Photography:
With your smartphone attached to the eyepiece via the holder and paired with the Bluetooth remote, open your phone's camera app. Adjust the focus on the telescope until the image is clear on your phone screen. Use the remote control to take photos or start video recording, minimizing camera shake.
