Setup and Installation

1. Installing the Mirror Dash Cam

The VT15 Mirror Dash Cam is designed to fit over your existing rearview mirror. Use the provided rubber straps to securely attach the dash cam to your vehicle's rearview mirror.

2. Connecting the Rear Camera

Connect the 2.5K rear camera to the main dash cam unit using the long rear camera cable. Route the cable discreetly along the vehicle's headliner and A-pillars to the rear of the vehicle. Use the included pry tool to tuck the cable under trim panels. Mount the rear camera on the rear windshield using the adhesive mount or screws.

3. Connecting the GPS Antenna

Connect the external GPS antenna to the dash cam. Position the antenna on the dashboard or near the windshield where it has a clear view of the sky for optimal signal reception.

4. Power Connection

Plug the car charger into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket and connect the USB-C end to the dash cam. The dash cam will power on automatically when the vehicle starts.

5. Memory Card Installation

A 32GB memory card is pre-installed. If replacing or upgrading, ensure the card is a well-known brand U1 or above SD card. Insert the memory card into the designated slot on the dash cam until it clicks into place.

Operating Instructions

Basic Operation

  • Power On/Off: The dash cam automatically powers on and begins recording when the vehicle starts. It powers off when the vehicle is turned off.
  • Recording: Continuous loop recording is enabled by default. The 32GB card will store footage, overwriting the oldest files when full.

Touchscreen Interface

The 12-inch full touchscreen provides an intuitive interface for controlling the dash cam. Swipe gestures and taps allow access to various settings and viewing modes.

GPS Tracking

Loop Recording & G-Sensor

  • Loop Recording: The dash cam continuously records video in segments. When the memory card is full, it automatically overwrites the oldest unlocked files.
  • G-Sensor: In the event of a sudden impact or collision, the built-in G-sensor automatically detects the event and locks the current video segment to prevent it from being overwritten, ensuring critical footage is preserved.
