2. Safety Information

  • Ensure all parts are present and undamaged before beginning assembly. Do not use if any parts are missing or broken.
  • Keep children and pets away from the assembly area. Small parts can be a choking hazard.
  • Assemble the bed frame on a soft, clean surface (e.g., carpet) to prevent scratching.
  • Do not overtighten screws during assembly, as this may damage the material.
  • Regularly check all connections and fasteners to ensure they remain tight.
  • Do not exceed the maximum weight capacity of 330 lbs (150 kg).
  • This bed frame is designed for indoor use only.

3. Package Contents

Verify that all components listed below are included in your package:

  • Headboard (Upholstered)
  • Side Rails (2)
  • Footboard
  • Center Support Beam
  • Support Legs (6)
  • LVL Slats (10)
  • Hardware Pack (screws, bolts, washers, Allen wrench)
  • User Manual (this document)

4. Setup and Assembly Instructions

Follow these steps carefully to assemble your bed frame. It is recommended to have two people for assembly.

  1. Unpack and Identify Parts: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Lay them out on a clean, soft surface and compare them with the package contents list to ensure everything is present.
  2. Attach Headboard Legs: Secure the support legs to the headboard using the provided hardware. Ensure they are firmly attached.
  3. Assemble Frame Sides: Connect the side rails to the headboard and footboard using the appropriate bolts and an Allen wrench. Do not fully tighten all bolts until the entire frame is assembled.
  4. Install Center Support: Attach the center support beam to the designated points on the headboard and footboard, or to the side rails if applicable. Ensure the center support legs are also attached and adjusted to touch the floor.
  5. Insert Slats: Place the LVL slats across the bed frame, ensuring they are evenly spaced and secured into the designated slots or with the provided fasteners. The slats provide direct support for your mattress, eliminating the need for a box spring.

5. Operating Instructions

  • Mattress Placement: Place your twin-size mattress directly onto the wooden slats. A box spring is not required for this bed frame.
  • Recommended Mattress Thickness: For optimal comfort and aesthetic, a mattress thickness between 9 and 12 inches is recommended.
  • Weight Capacity: The bed frame is designed to support a maximum weight of 330 lbs (150 kg), including the mattress and occupants.
  • Low Profile Design: The bed frame features a 6-inch clearance from the floor, allowing for easy cleaning underneath, including access for robot vacuums.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: For the upholstered headboard and frame, gently spot clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent if necessary. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Dusting: Regularly dust the frame with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Fastener Check: Periodically inspect all bolts and screws to ensure they are tight. Retighten if any looseness is detected to maintain stability.
  • Avoid Excessive Moisture: Keep the bed frame in a dry environment to prevent damage to the wood and fabric components.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Wobbling or Instability: Ensure all bolts and screws are fully tightened. Check that the center support legs are properly adjusted and making firm contact with the floor.
  • Squeaking Noises: Squeaking can often be resolved by tightening all frame connections. If the noise persists, check the slat placement and ensure they are securely seated. Applying a small amount of lubricant to metal-on-metal contact points (if any) can also help.
  • Difficulty Assembling: Review the assembly instructions carefully. Ensure you are using the correct hardware for each step. Do not force parts together; if they don't fit, re-check the orientation and part numbers.
