1. Introduction

3. Setup and Connection

The K18 keypad offers three distinct connection modes: Wired, 2.4G Wireless, and Bluetooth 5.0. Ensure the keypad is charged before initial use. The keypad contains a rechargeable battery.

3.1. Wired Mode (USB-C)

For a direct and stable connection, use the provided USB-C cable.

1. Connect the USB-C end of the cable to the port on the keypad.
2. Connect the USB-A end of the cable to an available USB port on your computer or device.
3. The keypad will automatically be recognized and ready for use. The cable also charges the keypad.

3.2. 2.4G Wireless Mode

For a wireless connection using the included dongle:

1. Locate the 2.4G wireless dongle stored in the back compartment of the keypad.
2. Plug the 2.4G wireless dongle into an available USB port on your computer or device.
3. Slide the switch on the back of the keypad to the '2.4G' position.
4. The keypad will automatically connect to the dongle.

3.3. Bluetooth 5.0 Mode

To connect via Bluetooth, the keypad supports up to three Bluetooth devices.

1. Slide the switch on the back of the keypad to the 'Bluetooth' position.
2. Press and hold the FN key along with either BT1, BT2, or BT3 (keys 1, 2, or 3 on the numpad) for 3-5 seconds until the corresponding indicator light flashes rapidly. This indicates pairing mode.
3. On your device (computer, smartphone, tablet), navigate to Bluetooth settings.
4. Search for available devices and select 'HH21-3MD_BT1' (or BT2/BT3 depending on your selection) to pair.
5. Once paired, the indicator light will stop flashing and remain solid.

4. Operating Instructions

The K18 keypad features a mechanical design for improved input speed and accuracy, along with customizable RGB backlighting.

4.1. Basic Key Functions

• Numeric Input: Keys 0-9 for numerical data entry.
• Arithmetic Operators: +, -, *, / for calculations.
• Enter: Confirms input or moves to the next line.
• Del: Deletes characters.
• Esc: Escape key.
• Tab: Tab key.
• FN: Function key, used in combination with other keys for special features.

4.2. RGB Backlighting Control

The keypad features dynamic RGB backlighting. Use the FN key in combination with specific keys to control lighting effects:

• FN + Backspace (←): Toggles backlight on/off.
• FN + Slash (/): Cycles through different backlight effects (static, flashing, reactive, etc.).
• FN + Asterisk (*): Adjusts backlight brightness.
• FN + Minus (-): Adjusts light effect speed.

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface of the keypad. For deeper cleaning, use the provided keycap removal tool to carefully remove keycaps and clean underneath with compressed air or a small brush. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
• Storage: Store the keypad in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Charging: Charge the keypad using the provided USB-C cable. Avoid overcharging or using incompatible chargers.
• Handling: Avoid dropping the keypad or exposing it to excessive force, which could damage the mechanical switches or internal components.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your keypad, refer to the following common solutions:

• Keypad not responding: Ensure the keypad is charged. Check the connection (wired, 2.4G dongle, or Bluetooth pairing). Try reconnecting or re-pairing the device.
• Bluetooth connection issues: Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your device. Ensure the keypad is in pairing mode (rapidly flashing indicator light). Try forgetting the device on your computer/tablet and re-pairing.
• 2.4G Wireless issues: Ensure the dongle is securely plugged into a USB port. Try plugging the dongle into a different USB port.
