Setup and Installation
Careful planning and accurate measurements are crucial for successful installation. It is recommended to have two people for installation.
Pre-Installation Checks:
- Door Width Calculation: The door width should be the opening width + 2 inches.
- Header Board: A header board is not included and may be required for proper track mounting, depending on your wall structure. Ensure the mounting surface is sturdy enough to support the door's weight.
- Tools Required: Gather necessary tools such as a drill, level, measuring tape, screwdriver, and pencil.
Assembly Steps:
- Assemble Door Panels: The individual door panels will arrive in pieces and require assembly. Follow the specific instructions provided with the door panels for assembly. Ensure all hinges are securely attached.
- Install Track: Mount the 8.6 ft rail above the door opening. Use the track connector to join track sections if necessary. Ensure the track is level and securely fastened to wall studs or a header board.
- Attach Hanging Wheels: Secure the hanging wheels to the top of the assembled door panels according to the hardware instructions.
- Hang Doors: Carefully lift and hang the assembled door panels onto the track.
- Install Floor Guides: Position and install the floor guides to prevent the doors from swinging out.
- Attach Handles: Install the handles on the door panels at a comfortable height.

Operating Instructions
The FINOSEN Bifold Barn Door operates by folding inward or outward along its track. To open the door, gently push or pull the handle to fold the panels. To close, reverse the action, ensuring the panels align smoothly.
- Ensure the track is clear of obstructions for smooth operation.
- Avoid forcing the door if it encounters resistance; check for alignment or obstructions.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance will ensure the longevity and smooth operation of your bifold barn door.
- Cleaning: The MDF material with PVC surface is waterproof and easy to clean. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the door panels. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.
- Track and Hardware: Periodically inspect the track and hanging hardware for any signs of wear or looseness. Tighten screws as needed. Keep the track free of dust and debris to ensure smooth sliding.
- Hinges: Check hinges for proper function and lubricate with a silicone-based spray if they become stiff or noisy.
