1. Introduction

3. Setup Instructions

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from their packaging. Place the printer on a stable, level surface.
  2. Power Connection: Connect the power cable to the printer and a suitable power outlet. Do not power on yet.
  3. USB Connection: Connect the printer to your computer using the provided USB cable.
  4. Ink Installation:
    • Open the ink compartment.
    • Carefully fill the ink reservoirs with the corresponding DTF inks (CMYK and White). Ensure correct color placement.
    • Install the ink dampers if they are not pre-installed.
  5. Software Installation: Install the RIP software on your computer. Follow the software's installation guide.
  6. Film Loading: The printer supports both roll film and sheet film.
    • For roll film: Mount the 100M PET film roll onto the detachable reel design.
    • For sheet film: Load individual PET sheets into the designated feeder.
  7. Initial Power On: Once all connections are secure and ink is loaded, power on the printer. The printer will perform an initial self-check.

4. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for a typical DTF printing process:

  1. Design Preparation: Create or edit your design using the RIP software. Ensure the design is optimized for DTF printing, including white ink layers if necessary.
  2. Print to Film: Send the prepared design from the RIP software to the PUNEHOD R1390 printer. The printer will print the design onto the PET film.
  3. Powder Application: After printing, evenly sprinkle DTF transfer powder over the wet ink on the PET film. Ensure complete coverage.
  4. Powder Curing: Place the powdered film into the A3 DTF oven to cure the adhesive powder. The powder will melt and form a sticky layer.
  5. Heat Press Transfer: Position the cured film onto the garment or fabric. Use a heat press to apply appropriate heat and pressure, transferring the design from the film to the fabric.
  6. Peel Off Film: Once cooled, carefully peel off the PET film. The design will remain on the garment.
