4. Setup and Assembly Instructions
Assembly typically requires two people. Ensure you have enough space and all components are laid out before starting.
- Prepare the Site: Choose a level, stable outdoor area for the kennel. Clear any debris or obstacles.
- Assemble the Base Frame: Connect the bottom horizontal bars using the provided clamps or connectors to form the rectangular base of the kennel. Ensure all connections are snug.
- Install Wall Panels: Attach the vertical galvanized iron panels to the base frame. Secure each panel to the adjacent panels and the base using the appropriate hardware. Pay attention to the panel with the feeding portal and the door panel.
- Attach the Door: Integrate the door panel into the designated opening. Ensure the hinges are correctly aligned and the door swings freely. Install the lock mechanism.
- Assemble the Roof Frame: Construct the roof support frame according to the diagrams. This typically involves connecting horizontal and angled bars to create a pitched roof structure.
- Secure the Roof Frame: Attach the assembled roof frame to the top of the wall panels. Ensure it is securely fastened to prevent movement.
- Install the Waterproof Canopy: Drape the waterproof canopy over the roof frame. Secure it using the strong straps or bungee cords provided, ensuring it is taut and covers the entire roof area to block UV rays and rain.
- Install Feeding Bowl: Mount the swivel stainless steel feeding bowl assembly into the designated opening on the panel. Ensure it can rotate smoothly for easy access.
- Final Inspection: Double-check all bolts, clamps, and connections to ensure they are tight and secure. Test the door latch for proper function.

5. Operating Instructions
- Door Operation: To open the main door, disengage the lock mechanism and pull the door outwards. To close, push the door shut and engage the lock securely.
- Feeding Portal: The swivel feeding bowl allows for easy feeding without entering the kennel. Rotate the bowl assembly outwards, fill the bowls, and then rotate it back inside the kennel. Ensure the portal is securely closed after feeding.
- Placement: Position the kennel in an area that provides adequate shade and protection from wind, especially during extreme weather. The waterproof roof offers protection from sun and rain.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the kennel panels and floor with pet-safe cleaning solutions. The galvanized iron is resistant to rust, but regular cleaning helps maintain hygiene.
- Canopy Care: Periodically clean the waterproof canopy with mild soap and water. Ensure it is free from debris, leaves, or standing water to prolong its lifespan.
- Hardware Check: Annually, or more frequently if needed, inspect all bolts, clamps, and the door latch for tightness. Tighten any loose hardware to maintain structural integrity.
- Rust Prevention: While galvanized, inspect for any scratches or chips in the coating that could lead to rust. Touch up with appropriate rust-inhibiting paint if necessary.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Kennel feels wobbly or unstable. | Loose connections; uneven ground. | Ensure all clamps and bolts are tightened. Relocate the kennel to a level surface. |
| Door latch does not secure properly. | Misalignment; damaged latch. | Check door alignment and adjust if necessary. Inspect the latch for damage and replace if faulty. |
| Water pooling on the roof canopy. | Canopy not taut enough; improper installation. | Re-tension the canopy straps to ensure a tight fit and proper water runoff. Verify roof frame assembly. |
