1. Introduction

1.1 Safety Information

3. Product Overview

3.1 Headphones

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Headphones

  1. Connect the power supply to the base station's USB-C power input.
  2. Place the headphones on the base station. Ensure the charging contacts align.
  3. The headphone indicator light will show charging status. A full charge takes approximately 3 hours and provides up to 30 hours of playback. A 15-minute quick charge can provide up to 4 hours of playback.

4.2 Connecting the Base Station to Your TV

  1. Ensure your TV or audio source is turned off.
  2. Connect one end of the supplied 3.5mm audio cable to the "Audio In" port on the back of the base station.
  3. Connect the other end of the 3.5mm audio cable to the headphone output or audio output port on your TV. If your TV does not have a 3.5mm output, an adapter (not included) may be required.
  4. Connect the power supply to the base station and plug it into a wall outlet. The power indicator on the base station will light up.

4.3 Initial Pairing

The Philips SHC5200M2 headphones are pre-paired with the base station from the factory. Once both the base station is powered and the headphones are charged and turned on, they should automatically connect. The signal indicator on the base station will confirm a successful connection.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off

  • To power on the headphones, press and hold the Power button on the earcup until the indicator light illuminates.
  • To power off, press and hold the Power button again until the indicator light turns off.

5.2 Adjusting Volume

Use the volume control located on the earcup to adjust the listening volume to a comfortable level. It is recommended to start with a low volume and gradually increase it.

5.3 Wearing the Headphones

Place the headphones over your ears, ensuring the soft ear pads fully cover them. Adjust the headband for a snug yet comfortable fit. The lightweight design and adjustable headband are designed for long-term comfort.

5.4 Wireless Range

The headphones operate using a 2.4G digital connection, providing a wireless range of up to 30 meters (98 feet) from the base station. Performance may vary depending on environmental factors and obstacles.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

  • Wipe the headphones and base station with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Do not use cleaning agents containing alcohol, ammonia, abrasives, or benzene, as these may damage the finish.
  • Avoid getting moisture into any openings.

6.2 Battery Replacement

The headphones feature a user-replaceable battery. To replace the battery:

  1. Gently open the earcup cover as indicated in the product diagram.
  2. Carefully remove the old battery.
  3. Insert the new, compatible Lithium Polymer battery, ensuring correct polarity.
  4. Close the earcup cover securely.

6.3 Storage

When not in use, store the headphones and base station in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
