6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the safety and efficiency of your MZK tool. Always disconnect the battery before performing any maintenance.

6.1. Chain Oiling

The tool features an automatic chain oiler with a translucent oil tank for easy monitoring of the oil level. Keep the oil tank filled with appropriate bar and chain oil to ensure smooth operation and prolong chain life.

  1. Check the oil level before each use.
  2. Unscrew the oil cap and fill the reservoir with bar and chain oil.

6.2. Chain Tension and Sharpening

  • Regularly check chain tension. A properly tensioned chain should be snug against the guide bar but still allow you to pull it around by hand.
  • A dull chain will cut slowly and can cause the saw to vibrate excessively. Sharpen or replace the chain as needed. Refer to the chain manufacturer's instructions for sharpening.

6.3. Cleaning and Storage

  • After each use, clean the tool of sawdust, debris, and sap. Use a brush or compressed air.
  • Wipe down external surfaces with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals.
  • Store the tool in a dry, secure place, out of reach of children.
  • Remove the battery during storage.
