This diagram helps in selecting the appropriate BTU capacity based on the room size, ensuring optimal cooling and heating performance for areas up to 1250 sq. ft. for the 18000 BTU model.
3.2. Mounting Plate Installation
- Use the provided installation template to mark the precise location for the mounting plate and the wall hole for the line set.
- Drill holes at the marked positions.
- Secure the mounting plate to the wall using expansion screws. Do not use nails.
3.3. Wall Hole Drilling
- Drill a wall hole (60-80mm diameter) inclined outward by 5-10 degrees to allow for proper drainage.
- Use an anti-dust bag to collect dust during drilling.
- Ensure to avoid wires, plumbing, gas lines, and other sensitive components.
3.4. Wiring Connections
- Pass the power cable out from the back of the indoor unit and fix it on the terminal board.
- Fix the cable with a clamp to prevent accidental disconnection.
- For the outdoor unit, remove the electrical box cover and connect cables to the terminal board according to the wiring diagram provided on the E-parts cover. Use clamps to fix cables.
3.5. Refrigerant Piping Connection
- Carefully bend the refrigerant pipes to align with the wall hole. Use both hands to turn the pipe to avoid deformation or rupture.
- Aim at the pipe center, tighten the taper nut with fingers, then use two wrenches to fully tighten. Refer to the torque specifications provided in the manual for correct tightening.
- Connect the refrigerant pipes to the outdoor unit, ensuring snug fit and proper tightening with two wrenches.
3.6. Drain Hose Installation
- Connect the drain hose with the water outlet pipe, ensuring a firm fit with adhesive tape. The length should be more than 5cm.
- The drain hose should be sloped downwards to prevent water accumulation. Never put the end of the drain hose in water.
3.7. Wrapping and Mounting
- Wrap refrigerant piping, wires, and drain pipe together with wrapping tape for a neat and protected bundle.
- Put the refrigerant piping out of the wall hole.
- Mount the indoor unit on the mounting plate. Push the lower part of the indoor unit until a 'click' sound is heard to ensure it's firmly fixed.
- Install a pipe protecting ring and seal with putty around the wall hole to protect piping and wires.
3.8. Vacuumizing
- Before vacuumizing, check all nuts of the indoor and outdoor unit are tightened.
- Connect the stop valve, charging hose, manifold valve, and vacuum pump as shown in the diagram.
- Turn on the handle Lo to vacuumize for at least 15 minutes, ensuring the pressure gauge value is ≤-0.1MPa.
- Keep pressure for 3-5 minutes after vacuumizing; make sure pressure springback is ≤0.05MPa.
- Open 1/4 liquid valve, then remove the charging hose.
- Open all the liquid valves and gas valves. Screw all the caps and tighten up.
