4. Setup Instructions
4.1 Direct Connect Mode (TX + RX)
This mode provides the most stable connection and is ideal for presentations and video streaming where minimal latency is desired. No software installation or network configuration is required.
- Connect the Receiver (RX): Plug the HDMI end of the Receiver (RX) into an available HDMI port on your display (TV, monitor, or projector).
- Power the Receiver (RX): Connect the provided USB-C to USB-A power cable to the USB-C port on the RX unit and plug the USB-A end into a 5V/2A power source (e.g., a USB port on your TV/monitor or a USB wall adapter). Ensure the RX unit powers on.
- Connect the Transmitter (TX): Plug the USB-C end of the Transmitter (TX) into the full-function USB-C port of your source device (laptop, smartphone, or tablet). Your source device must support DisplayPort Alt Mode for video output.
- Automatic Connection: Wait a few seconds for the devices to establish a stable connection. Your display should automatically show the mirrored or extended screen from your source device.

4.2 Receiver-Only Casting Mode (RX only)
If your source device does not have a full-function USB-C port, or for ultimate convenience, you can use the Receiver (RX) alone to cast wirelessly via AirPlay (for Apple devices) or Miracast (for Android/Windows devices). Note: This mode does NOT work with Google Cast.
- Connect and Power the Receiver (RX): Follow steps 1 and 2 from the "Direct Connect Mode" above to connect and power the RX unit.
- Select Input: Ensure your display is set to the correct HDMI input where the RX is connected. The RX will display instructions for AirPlay/Miracast connection.
- Initiate Casting from Source Device:
- For Apple iPhone/iPad: Swipe down to open Control Center, tap "Screen Mirroring," and select your receiver (e.g., "UniMirrorLite-XXXX"). Enter the AirPlay Code shown on your TV screen if prompted.
- For Android Phone: Swipe down to open the Quick Settings panel, tap "Smart View" / "Cast" / "Wireless display," and select your receiver (e.g., "UniMirrorLite-XXXX").
- For Apple Mac: Click the Control Center icon in the menu bar, click "Screen Mirroring," select your receiver, and enter the AirPlay Code if prompted.
- For Windows 10 or above: Press the Windows key + K on your keyboard. From the "Cast" panel, select your receiver.
