4. Setup Instructions

  1. Unpack and Clean: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Wash the stainless steel bowl, lid, water pump, and all spout attachments with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly to remove any residue.
  2. Assemble Pump: Disassemble the water pump by gently pulling its parts apart. Clean the impeller (the small rotating part) and the internal sponge filter. Reassemble the pump securely.
  3. Install Filters:
    • Soak a new carbon filter in a separate bowl of water for 5 minutes before its first use. This helps remove any loose carbon dust and ensures proper water flow.
    • Place one foam sponge around the water pump.
    • Insert the soaked carbon filter into the designated filter housing located on the underside of the lid. Ensure it fits snugly.
  4. Choose Spout Option: Select your preferred water flow style. The fountain includes a curved stainless steel spout for a flowing stream, a dolphin-shaped attachment for a playful stream, and a gentle bubbling fountain attachment. Attach your chosen spout to the water pump's outlet on the lid.
  5. Fill with Water: Place the lid assembly (with pump and filters attached) onto the stainless steel bowl. Fill the bowl with fresh water up to the "MAX" line, which is visible through the transparent LED water level window. Do not overfill.
  6. Connect Power: Route the power cable through the designated cable clip on the side of the lid to ensure a secure fit and prevent kinks. Connect the barrel connector end of the power cable to the water pump and the USB-A end to the provided power adapter. Plug the power adapter into a standard wall outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

  • Power On: Once the fountain is properly assembled and plugged into a power outlet, the water pump will automatically begin circulating water, and the LED light will illuminate.
  • Water Level Monitoring: The transparent LED water level window allows for easy monitoring of the water volume. Ensure the water level remains above the "MIN" mark to prevent the pump from running dry, which can cause damage. Refill as needed.
  • Encouraging Drinking: The dual water flow designs (flower spout or gentle bubbling) are intended to attract pets and encourage them to drink more frequently. Observe your pet's preference and adjust the spout accordingly.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and hygienic operation of your pet water fountain.

  • Weekly Cleaning: Disassemble the entire fountain unit. Wash the stainless steel bowl, lid, and all attachments with mild soap and water. Use the provided small cleaning brushes to thoroughly clean the pump's intake and spout areas, removing any hair or debris. Rinse all parts completely before reassembly.
  • Monthly Pump Cleaning: At least once a month, fully disassemble the water pump. Clean the impeller and its housing to prevent mineral buildup and ensure quiet, efficient operation.
  • Filter Replacement:
    • Replace the carbon filter every 2 to 4 weeks. The frequency may vary depending on the number of pets using the fountain and the hardness of your water.
    • Replace the foam sponge filter every 1 to 2 months.
    • Always soak new carbon filters in water for 5 minutes before installation.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Fountain Not Running:
    • Ensure the power adapter is securely plugged into a working wall outlet.
    • Check that the power cable is properly connected to the pump.
    • Verify that the water level is above the "MIN" mark.
    • Disassemble and clean the pump, checking for any blockages or debris.
  • Noisy Operation:
    • Ensure the water level is sufficient; low water can cause pump noise.
    • Clean the pump and impeller thoroughly to remove any debris or mineral buildup.
    • Check that all components are correctly assembled and seated properly.
  • Water Not Flowing:
    • Inspect the pump for any blockages or foreign objects.
    • Ensure the carbon filter and foam sponge are not clogged. Replace if necessary.
    • Verify that the spout is correctly attached and not obstructed.
