Setup

Battery Installation

  1. Unscrew the tail cap of the flashlight by rotating it counter-clockwise.
  2. Insert six (6) AA alkaline batteries into the battery compartment, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align with the indicators inside the flashlight.
  3. Carefully screw the tail cap back on by rotating it clockwise until it is securely tightened. Do not overtighten.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off and Mode Selection (Quick-Cycle Switch)

The G450 features a Quick-Cycle Switch located on the tail cap for easy operation.

  1. To turn on: Press the Quick-Cycle Switch fully until it clicks. The flashlight will activate in High mode.
  2. To cycle through modes: With the flashlight on, lightly press the Quick-Cycle Switch (without clicking) to cycle between High, Medium, and Low light modes.
  3. To turn off: From any mode, press the Quick-Cycle Switch fully until it clicks again.

Twist Focus System

The G450 features COAST's patented Twist Focus system, allowing seamless transition between a focused spot beam and a broad flood beam.

  1. To adjust focus: Rotate the head of the flashlight clockwise or counter-clockwise.
  2. Pure-Beam Focusing Optic: This technology provides a seamless transition between the Ultra View Flood Beam and the Bulls-Eye Spot Beam without dark rings or hot spots.
  3. Ultra View Flood Beam: Provides edge-to-edge clarity in a wide circular pattern, ideal for illuminating large areas up close.
  4. Bulls-Eye Spot Beam: Projects a sharp, concentrated beam for long-range illumination, surrounded by a transitional halo to enhance the effective viewing area.

Maintenance

Cleaning

To clean the flashlight, wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. For the lens, use a lens cleaning cloth to avoid scratching.

Battery Replacement

When the light output diminishes significantly, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps in the Setup section. Always replace all six batteries at once with new, identical alkaline batteries.

Storage

Store the flashlight in a cool, dry place. If storing for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent potential leakage and damage to the flashlight's internal components.

Water Resistance

The Coast G450 is rated IP54 for water resistance, meaning it is protected against dust ingress and splashing water from any direction. It is not designed for submersion. Ensure the tail cap is fully tightened to maintain water resistance.
