6. Operating Instructions

6.1 General Operation

  • Power On: Press the safety lock button and then squeeze the trigger to start the saw.
  • Cutting Technique: Allow the saw to reach full speed before engaging the workpiece. Apply steady, even pressure. Do not force the saw.
  • Battery Gauge: Monitor the battery gauge to avoid unexpected power loss during a cut.

6.2 Using as a Handheld Chainsaw

For smaller branches and ground-level cutting, detach the chainsaw head from the pole extension.

  1. Ensure the chainsaw head is securely attached to the main handle.
  2. Hold the chainsaw firmly with both hands.
  3. Position the saw to make a clean cut, avoiding contact with the ground or other obstacles.

  1. Ensure the pole is securely attached to both the chainsaw head and the handle.
  2. Adjust the pole length to the desired height, ensuring the locking mechanisms are engaged.
  3. Utilize the 180° & 360° rotating head to achieve the optimal cutting angle for overhead branches.
  4. Maintain a stable stance and keep both hands on the pole.
  5. Make cuts from the underside of the branch first to prevent pinching, then complete the cut from the top.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your TengXcel tool.

  • Chain Oiling: Regularly check and refill the automatic oiling system reservoir with quality chain and bar oil.
  • Chain Tension: Frequently check chain tension. A loose chain can derail, and a too-tight chain can cause excessive wear and overheating. Adjust using the tool-less tensioning knob.
  • Chain Sharpening/Replacement: A dull chain reduces cutting efficiency and increases kickback risk. Sharpen the chain as needed or replace it when worn.
  • Cleaning: After each use, remove the battery and clean the tool. Clear sawdust, debris, and sap from the guide bar, chain, and motor housing. Use a brush or compressed air.
  • Storage: Store the tool in a dry, secure location out of reach of children. Ensure the chain guard is in place. Remove the battery for long-term storage.
