6.1 Expanding the Tabletop

The table features a smooth, silent slide rail system for easy expansion. To expand the table:

  1. Gently pull the two halves of the tabletop apart. The silent slide rails will guide the movement.
  2. Locate the independent extension plate stored within the table's base.
  3. Place the extension plate into the gap created by separating the tabletop halves.
  4. Push the tabletop halves back together until they meet the extension plate and the fixing clips engage, securing the table in its extended position.

The table expands from 43.3 inches (round, seating 4) to 59 inches (oval, seating 6).

  • Protection: Use placemats and coasters to protect the tabletop from spills, heat, and scratches.
  • Inspection: Periodically check all screws and fasteners to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten if necessary.
  • Movement: When moving the table, lift it rather than dragging it to prevent damage to the legs and floor.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your HOTAMO Extendable Dining Table, please refer to the following common solutions:

  • Tabletop not expanding smoothly: Ensure the slide rails are clean and free of debris. Apply a silicone-based lubricant if necessary. Check that the fixing clips are disengaged.
