Setup
1. Install Batteries
The Glucoracy G-425-2 meter requires 2 AAA batteries (not included). Open the battery compartment on the back of the meter and insert the batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment securely.
2. Assemble Lancing Device
- Unscrew the cap from the lancing device.
- Insert a new, sterile lancet firmly into the lancet holder.
- Twist off the protective cap from the lancet.
- Replace the lancing device cap.
- Adjust the penetration depth by rotating the cap. Levels 1-2 are for tender skin, 3 for general, and 4-5 for thick skin.
- Pull back the cocking control until it clicks, indicating the device is ready.

Operating Instructions
Before Testing: Important Reminders
- Ensure your testing site is clean and free of alcohol, dirt, or other substances. Wash and dry your hands thoroughly.
- Use a sufficient blood sample. Avoid the first drop of blood; wipe it away and use the second drop.
- Check that test strips are within 3 months of opening and stored properly in their sealed container, away from heat and moisture.
- Be mindful of high humidity, which can affect results.
- The fingertip is the recommended testing site for most accurate results.

Performing a Blood Glucose Test
- Prepare Hands: Wash your hands with soap and warm water, then dry them completely.
- Insert Test Strip: Remove a test strip from its vial and immediately close the vial lid. Insert the test strip into the meter. The meter will turn on automatically.
- Obtain Blood Sample: Place the assembled lancing device firmly against the side of your fingertip and press the release button. Gently squeeze your finger until a small drop of blood forms. Wipe away the first drop of blood with a clean tissue, then gently squeeze again to get a second drop.
- Apply Blood: Touch the tip of the test strip to the blood drop. The blood will be drawn into the strip automatically. Do not apply blood to the top of the strip.
- Read Results: The meter will display your blood glucose result in 5 seconds.
- Eject Strip and Lancet: Use the one-button push ejection feature to safely dispose of the used test strip and lancet.

Memory Tracking
The Glucoracy G-425-2 glucometer can store up to 500 blood sugar results, helping you monitor your glucose status over time. To access memory mode, refer to the specific instructions in your meter's user manual. The meter also allows for testing at different times relative to meals:
- Fasting: After >8 hours of no food intake.
- Before Meal: 10-30 minutes before eating.
- After Meal: 2 hours after eating.
- Before Sleep: 30 minutes before going to bed.

Maintenance
Test Strip Storage
- Store test strips in their original vial with the cap tightly closed.
- Keep strips in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat.
- Do not refrigerate or freeze test strips.
- Use test strips within 3 months after opening the vial. Write the opening date on the vial.
Cleaning the Meter and Lancing Device
Wipe the exterior of the meter and lancing device with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the devices in water or use harsh cleaning agents.

If you encounter any issues, refer to the table below for common error messages and their solutions. If the problem persists or an unfamiliar error message appears, please contact Glucoracy customer service.

| E-F | Indicates you may have removed the strip prematurely after applying blood to the absorbent hole. | Try again with a new strip, ensuring sufficient blood sample and proper application. |
| E-E | Problem with the meter. | Re-test with a new test strip. If the problem is still unresolved, please contact customer care. |
| E-t | Environmental temperature is lower than 50°F or higher than 104°F. | Test at an environmental temperature within 50°F–104°F (10°C–40°C) operation range. |
