Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to set up your airbrush kit:

  1. Connect the Compressor to the Airbrush Gun: Securely attach the air hose to the air outlet on the compressor and then to the air inlet on the airbrush gun. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent air leaks.
  2. Add Liquid to the Cup: Open the lid of the paint cup on the airbrush gun and carefully pour your desired paint or liquid into it using the dropper. Do not overfill.
  3. Power On the Device: Connect the power adapter to the compressor and plug it into a suitable power outlet. Press the power button on the compressor to turn it on.
  4. Begin Spraying: Once the compressor is on, you can start using the airbrush. Refer to the Operating Instructions section for details on controlling the airbrush.

Operating Instructions

Dual-Action Control

The Powate TA101 features a dual-action airbrush design, allowing for precise control over both air and paint flow:

  • Air Control: Press down on the trigger to release air.
  • Paint Control: While pressing down for air, pull the trigger backward to control the amount of paint released. This simultaneous control prevents paint waste and allows for fine adjustments.

Adjustable Air Pressure

The compressor offers three adjustable air pressure levels to suit various applications:

  • Low: 25 PSI
  • Medium: 30 PSI
  • High: 40 PSI

To adjust the air pressure, simply press the air compressor button. Each press cycles through the available pressure settings, allowing you to achieve desired effects for your artwork.

Interchangeable Nozzles

The kit includes 0.2mm, 0.3mm, and 0.5mm nozzles, allowing you to achieve different line thicknesses and spray patterns. To change a nozzle:

  1. Ensure the airbrush is disconnected from the compressor and empty of paint.
  2. Carefully unscrew the nozzle cap and then the nozzle itself.
  3. Remove the needle from the front or back of the airbrush.
  4. Insert the desired new needle, then screw on the corresponding new nozzle and nozzle cap. Be gentle to avoid damaging the delicate parts.

Maintenance

Proper cleaning and maintenance are crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of your airbrush kit. Always clean your airbrush immediately after each use, especially when changing colors or finishing a session.

General Cleaning

  1. Empty Paint Cup: Remove any remaining paint from the cup.
  2. Rinse: Add a small amount of appropriate cleaning solution (water for water-based paints, specific cleaner for other types) to the paint cup. Spray it through the airbrush onto a paper towel or into a waste container until clear.
  3. Back-flush: Cover the nozzle tip with your finger or a cap and gently pull back the trigger. This will force air back into the paint cup, creating bubbles that help dislodge paint residue. Repeat several times.
  4. Disassemble and Clean: For a thorough cleaning, disassemble the airbrush. Use the included cleaning brushes and needles to carefully clean the paint cup, nozzle, needle, and air cap. Be extremely careful with the needle and nozzle as they are delicate.
  5. Reassemble: Once all parts are clean and dry, carefully reassemble the airbrush.

Oil-Water Separator

The oil-water separator helps prevent moisture from entering your airbrush, which can cause sputtering or inconsistent spray. Periodically check and drain any accumulated moisture from the separator.
