3.2 Rear Panel and Wiring

4. Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation of the wire controller:

1. Adjust the Support Bar: Adjust the support bar on the rear of the controller to match the distance between the screw holes of the standard electrical box and the wall. Use a cutting tool if necessary to adjust the length of the plastic support bar.
2. Secure the Controller: After adjusting the length of the plastic support bar, fix it to the rear cover. Ensure the support bar is oriented correctly, following the direction indicated by the arrow on the label.
3. Wiring: Connect the power supply (DC18V or DC5V) and control wires to the CN2 X1 X2 terminals as per the air conditioning unit's wiring diagram. Ensure all connections are secure and correctly polarized.
4. Mounting: Mount the controller securely to the electrical box or wall.

Important: The power supply for the controller is DC18V. Verify your system's power output before connecting.

5. Operation

The wire controller provides intuitive control over your Midea air conditioning unit. Refer to the front panel (Figure 1) for button layout.

• Power Button (P): Press to turn the air conditioning unit ON or OFF.
• Mode Button (M): Press to cycle through available operating modes (e.g., Cool, Heat, Fan, Dry, Auto).
• Fan Speed Button (F): Adjusts the fan speed (e.g., Low, Medium, High, Auto).
• Temperature Adjustment Buttons (TU): Use the up and down arrows to increase or decrease the desired temperature setting.
