Setup and Installation
1. Mounting Location
Choose a mounting location that is secure, dry, and provides adequate ventilation for the amplifier. Avoid mounting on carpet or in enclosed spaces without airflow. Ensure the amplifier is accessible for wiring and adjustments.
2. Wiring Connections

- Power (BATT+): Connect a 0 AWG power cable directly from the positive terminal of the vehicle's battery to the +12V terminals on the amplifier. Install an appropriate fuse (600A recommended) within 18 inches of the battery. The SS6000 features dual 0 AWG power terminals for robust current delivery.
- Ground (GND): Connect a 0 AWG ground cable from the GND terminals on the amplifier to a clean, unpainted metal surface of the vehicle chassis. The ground point should be as short as possible and securely fastened. The SS6000 features dual 0 AWG ground terminals.
- Remote (REM): Connect a 18 AWG or larger wire from the vehicle's head unit remote output to the REM terminal on the amplifier. This wire turns the amplifier on and off with the head unit.
- RCA Input (INPUT L/R): Connect RCA cables from your head unit's pre-amp outputs to the RCA INPUTs on the amplifier.

Operating Instructions

After all connections are made, reconnect the vehicle's battery. Turn on your head unit. The amplifier should power on (PWR indicator will illuminate). Begin with the amplifier's SENS (gain) control set to minimum (fully counter-clockwise) and the head unit volume at a low level.
- Play a familiar audio track.
- Increase the head unit volume to about 75-80% of its maximum.
- Slowly increase the SENS (gain) control on the amplifier until you hear distortion or the CLIP indicator on the remote gain control unit illuminates. Then, back off the gain slightly until the distortion disappears or the CLIP indicator turns off.
- The remote gain control unit allows for convenient adjustment of the amplifier's output level from the driver's seat.
2. Filter Adjustments
The SS6000 features adjustable filters to optimize sound quality for your subwoofer system:
