1. Product Overview

2. Safety Instructions

- Work Area Safety: Keep your work area clean and well-lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents. Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust.
- Electrical Safety: Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces.
- Personal Safety: Always wear eye protection. Use hearing protection when operating the tool for extended periods. Dress properly; do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep hair and clothing away from moving parts.
- Tool Use and Care: Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. Disconnect the plug from the power source before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools.
- Router Bit Safety: Ensure router bits are securely installed and are the correct size for the collet. Always use sharp, clean bits.

4. Setup
4.1 Installing a Router Bit
- Ensure the router is unplugged from the power source.
- Press and hold the spindle lock button (refer to Figure 1.1).
- Loosen the collet nut using the provided wrench.
- Insert the desired router bit into the collet, ensuring at least 3/4 of the shank is seated.
- Tighten the collet nut firmly with the wrench while holding the spindle lock. Do not overtighten.

4.2 Adjusting Depth
The router features a depth adjustment range of 0-60mm for precise control.
- Place the router on a flat surface with the bit touching the surface.
- Loosen the clamping lever for depth adjustment (refer to Figure 1.1).
- Adjust the router body up or down until the desired depth is indicated on the scale cutting depth.
- Use the revolver-depth stop for quick, repeatable depth settings.
- Tighten the clamping lever firmly to secure the depth setting.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Powering On/Off
Ensure the router is securely held with both hands. To turn on, press the power switch. To turn off, release the power switch. Some models may have a lock-on button for continuous operation.
5.2 Speed Control
The router features 6 variable speed settings, ranging from 9000 to 23500 RPM, allowing you to match the speed to the material and bit type.
- Locate the electronic speed control adjusting wheel (refer to Figure 1.1).
- Rotate the wheel to select the desired speed setting. Lower speeds are generally used for larger bits, harder materials, or when more control is needed. Higher speeds are for smaller bits and softer materials.

5.3 General Operation Tips
- Always make a test cut on scrap material before routing your final workpiece.
- Move the router smoothly and consistently. Avoid stopping the router in the middle of a cut.
- For best results and safety, always route against the rotation of the bit.
- The ergonomic design with a rubber-covered handle provides a comfortable grip during operation.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your Hoteche Electric Router.
- Cleaning: After each use, unplug the tool and clean dust and debris from the ventilation openings and around the collet area using compressed air or a soft brush.
- Bit Inspection: Regularly inspect router bits for sharpness and damage. Replace dull or damaged bits immediately.
- Cord Inspection: Check the power cord for any cuts, fraying, or damage. Do not use the tool if the cord is damaged.
- Storage: Store the router in a dry, secure location out of reach of children.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Hoteche Electric Router, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Router does not start:
- Check if the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet.
- Ensure the power switch is fully engaged.
- Verify that the circuit breaker has not tripped.
- Excessive vibration or poor cut quality:
- Ensure the router bit is clean, sharp, and properly installed in the collet.
- Check that the collet nut is tightened securely.
- Inspect the router bit for damage or imbalance.
- Depth adjustment slips:
- Ensure the clamping lever for depth adjustment is fully tightened.
- Check the hexagonal plug for base tightness (refer to Figure 1.1) and adjust if necessary to prevent loosening.
