2. Important Safety Instructions
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, observe the following:
- Read all instructions before using this heater.
- This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Use handles when moving this heater. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9m) from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.
- Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.
- Always unplug heater when not in use.
- Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return heater to authorized service facility for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment, or repair.
- Do not use outdoors.
- This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas, and similar indoor locations. Never locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.
- Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
- To disconnect heater, turn controls to off, then remove plug from outlet.
- Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
- To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
- A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable vapors or liquids are used or stored.
- Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
- This heater includes certified Tip-over and Overheat protection plus an auto shut-off for complete safety.

4. Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the heater from its packaging. Retain packaging for off-season storage.
- Placement: Place the heater on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is at least 3 feet (0.9m) of clear space from the front, sides, and rear of the heater to any combustible materials (furniture, curtains, bedding, etc.).
- Power Connection: Plug the heater directly into a 120V, 15-amp (or greater) grounded electrical outlet. Do not use an extension cord or power strip. The power cord is 6 feet long.
- Remote Control Batteries: Insert 2 AAA batteries (not included) into the remote control.
5. Operating Instructions
Control Panel and Remote Control:
The heater can be operated using the control panel on the unit or the included remote control. Ensure the heater is plugged in and the power button is pressed to activate standby mode before using the remote.
Power On/Off:
- Press the POWER button on the control panel or remote to turn the unit on or off.
Mode Selection:
Press the MODE button to cycle through the available heating modes:
- ECO Mode: Automatically adjusts power consumption to maintain the set temperature, saving energy.
- HIGH Mode: Provides maximum heat output (1500W).
- LOW Mode: Provides reduced heat output.
Temperature Adjustment:
- Use the UP and DOWN arrow buttons to set your desired temperature between 30°F and 99°F.
- The digital display will show the set temperature. Press the SET/ROOM TEMP button to toggle between set temperature and current room temperature.
Timer Function:
- Press the TIMER button to activate the programmable 12-hour timer.

6. Maintenance
Cleaning the Lifetime Filter:
The DR-123 features a Lifetime Filter that never needs replacing. Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance.
- Turn off the heater and unplug it from the power outlet.
- Locate the filter compartment at the rear of the unit (refer to Image 3).
- Remove the filter.
- Clean the filter using a vacuum cleaner to remove dust and debris. For deeper cleaning, rinse with warm water and mild soap. Ensure the filter is completely dry before reinserting.
- Reinsert the clean, dry filter into its compartment.
General Cleaning:
- Wipe the exterior of the heater with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Ensure no water enters the interior of the heater.
7. Troubleshooting
