Safety Information

• Ensure all parts are present and undamaged before assembly. Do not use if any parts are missing or damaged.

Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble your HOMCOM Criss Cross Office Chair. It is recommended to assemble the chair on a soft, clean surface to prevent damage.

1. Attach Casters to Base: Insert each of the five casters into the holes at the end of each leg of the five-star base. Push firmly until they click into place.
2. Insert Gas Lift: Place the gas lift cylinder into the center hole of the five-star base. Cover the gas lift with the gas lift cover.
3. Attach Mechanism Plate to Seat: Align the mechanism plate with the pre-drilled holes on the underside of the seat cushion. Secure it using the provided bolts and an Allen wrench. Ensure the front of the mechanism faces the front of the seat.
4. Attach Armrests to Seat and Backrest: Attach the armrests to the sides of the seat cushion and the backrest using the provided bolts. Do not fully tighten all bolts until all components are aligned.
5. Connect Seat to Gas Lift: Carefully place the assembled seat and backrest onto the gas lift cylinder, ensuring the center hole of the mechanism plate aligns with the top of the gas lift. Press down firmly to secure.
6. Final Tightening: Once all parts are assembled and aligned, fully tighten all bolts.

Operating Instructions

Familiarize yourself with the various adjustments available on your HOMCOM office chair to optimize your comfort and posture.

1. Seat Height Adjustment

To adjust the seat height:

• To raise the seat: While standing, pull the lever located under the right side of the seat upwards. The seat will rise automatically. Release the lever at the desired height.
• To lower the seat: While seated, pull the lever located under the right side of the seat upwards. The seat will lower. Release the lever at the desired height.

2. Tilt Function and Tension Adjustment

The chair features a tilt function for reclining and relaxation.

• Engage/Disengage Tilt: Pull the same lever (used for height adjustment) outwards to unlock the tilt function, allowing the chair to rock. Push the lever inwards to lock the chair in an upright position.
• Adjust Tilt Tension: Rotate the round knob located under the front-center of the seat. Turn clockwise to increase tension (making it harder to recline) or counter-clockwise to decrease tension (making it easier to recline).

3. Flip-Up Armrests

The armrests can be flipped up to save space or allow for closer access to your desk.

• To flip up: Gently lift each armrest upwards until it locks into a vertical position.
• To lower: Gently pull the armrest slightly upwards and then push it downwards to return to the horizontal position.

4. Swivel and Mobility

The chair features a 360° swivel and smooth-rolling casters for easy movement.

• The seat can rotate freely in a full circle.
• The PU casters are designed for smooth movement across various floor types, including wooden floors, carpets, and marble floors, without causing damage.

5. Criss-Cross Sitting

The wide U-shaped seat is designed to accommodate cross-legged sitting for enhanced comfort during long periods.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that may damage the velvet-feel fabric or metal finish.
• Fastener Check: Periodically check all bolts and screws for tightness. Retighten as needed to maintain stability and safety.
• Caster Care: Keep casters free of hair and debris to ensure smooth rolling.
• Gas Lift: The gas lift is a sealed unit and requires no maintenance. If it fails to function, contact support.
