2. Safety Information

Always read and understand all safety instructions before installation, operation, or maintenance. Failure to follow these instructions could result in property damage, serious injury, or death.

  • The heat pump must be installed by a qualified professional according to the instruction manual.
  • Always cut off all power before maintaining or repairing the unit.
  • The water pump must be running before turning on the heat pump.
  • The power supply is 110-120V/60Hz.
  • Drain water out of the system when the heat pump will not be used for a long time in winter seasons to prevent the heat exchanger and pipeline from freezing and breaking.

5. Installation

Easy installation requires no professional tools and can be completed in under 30 minutes. For proper installation planning, the heat pump measures 16.5'' (L) × 14.2'' (W) × 17.8'' (H) and weighs 59 lb.

5.1 Plumbing Connection

The heat pump should be installed after the water filtered out of the cartridge filter or other filter system. Ensure your pool pump provides a flow rate between 1000-1200 GPH for optimal performance. PVC glue should be applied at inserted parts for secure connections.

5.2 Electrical Connection

The heat pump is powered by 110-120V household electricity. It features a leakage protection plug for safety. Ensure the power supply is off before making any electrical connections. Consult a qualified electrician if you are unsure about any steps.

6. Operation

6.1 Manual Control

The unit features an intuitive digital control panel with a weather-proof cover. Use the 'M' button to cycle through modes, and the up/down arrows to adjust temperature settings. The display shows current water temperature and operating status.

6.2 Wi-Fi App Control

Download the Smart Life app from the App Store or Google Play. Follow the in-app instructions to connect your heat pump to your home Wi-Fi network. Once connected, you can remotely adjust temperature settings, schedule heating cycles, and monitor the system status from anywhere. For optimal signal stability, install the heater within approximately 10 meters (33 ft) of your Wi-Fi router.

7. Maintenance

  • Regularly inspect the heat pump for any visible damage or blockages around the air intake/outlet.
  • Keep the area around the unit clear of debris to ensure proper airflow.
  • Clean the heat exchanger coils periodically to maintain efficiency.
  • During winter or prolonged periods of non-use, drain all water from the heat pump and plumbing to prevent freezing damage.
  • Ensure proper water chemistry in your pool to prevent corrosion of internal components.

8. Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Check the circuit breaker and ensure the unit is properly plugged into a working 110-120V outlet.
