2. Safety Information

  • Ensure the input voltage is within the specified range (7-70.000V). Exceeding 75V will trigger power cutoff protection.
  • Do not reverse the input polarity. While the device has protection, incorrect connection should be avoided.
  • Always connect the power supply to a stable and appropriate AC-DC power source.
  • Avoid short-circuiting the output terminals for extended periods, even with short-circuit protection.
  • Operate the device within the specified working temperature range (-10℃~40℃).
  • Ensure proper ventilation; the cooling fan activates under specific conditions (Output current >6A or System temperature >45℃).
  • For battery charging, use the designated green battery charging terminal.

3. Setup

3.1 Unboxing and Initial Inspection

Carefully remove the RD6018P from its packaging. Inspect the device for any visible damage. The package includes the RD6018P unit and a small bag of accessories. A CR1220 battery is required for the time display function and is not included.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cooling System

The integrated cooling fan operates automatically to maintain optimal temperature. The fan activates when the output current exceeds 6A or the system temperature rises above 45℃. It deactivates when the output current drops below 5.9A and the system temperature falls below 40℃. Ensure the fan vents are clear of obstructions for effective cooling.

5.2 Firmware Updates

The RD6018P supports firmware upgrades to optimize performance and add new functions. Refer to the official RD website for the latest firmware and update instructions.

6. Troubleshooting and Protection Features

  • Over-Voltage Protection (OVP): If the input voltage exceeds 72V, the device will display an "Overvoltage at input!" warning, and the output will turn off. If the input voltage exceeds 75V, the device will initiate a power cutoff protection, turning off the display and output to prevent damage. The product can withstand input over-voltage of 100V for up to 1 second.
  • Reverse Input Voltage Protection: The device is designed to prevent damage from reverse input voltage connection.
  • Output Short Protection: The RD6018P includes output short-circuit protection to safeguard the device and connected loads.
  • Over-Temperature Protection: The system will shut down if the internal temperature exceeds 90℃.
