5.7 Cable Management
Utilize the open design to route cables efficiently, ensuring they do not obstruct airflow or interfere with other components. Secure cables with zip ties or Velcro straps (not included) for a tidy setup.
6. Operating Instructions
- After all components are installed and cables are connected, plug the power supply into a wall outlet.
- Flip the power switch on the power supply to the 'ON' position.
- Press the power button on the chassis to start your system.
- To shut down, use the operating system's shutdown function or press and hold the power button for several seconds.
7. Maintenance
- Dust Cleaning: Due to its open-frame design, the test bench may accumulate dust more quickly. Regularly use compressed air or a soft brush to remove dust from components and the chassis frame. Ensure the system is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
- Component Inspection: Periodically check all cable connections to ensure they are secure. Inspect fans for proper operation and clean any dust buildup.
- Screw Tightness: Over time, screws may loosen. Periodically check and gently tighten any loose screws on the chassis or component mounts.
8. Troubleshooting
- System does not power on:
- Ensure the power supply is plugged in and switched 'ON'.
- Verify all power cables (24-pin ATX, 8-pin CPU, PCIe power) are securely connected to the motherboard and components.
- Check the front panel power button connection to the motherboard.
- No display output:
- Ensure the monitor is connected to the graphics card (not the motherboard's integrated graphics, unless no discrete GPU is present).
- Reseat the graphics card in its PCIe slot.
- Reseat RAM modules.
- System instability or crashes:
- Check component temperatures to ensure adequate cooling.
- Verify all components are securely seated.
- Ensure drivers are up to date.
