  1. Ensure the water tank is filled with fresh, cold water.
  2. Grind your coffee beans to a medium or coarse consistency. Fine powder is not recommended for this machine.
  3. Using the provided measuring scoop, add ground coffee to the filter basket. Do not exceed 4 cups worth of coffee grounds. Lightly tamp the coffee grounds.
  4. Insert the filter basket into the portafilter. Attach the portafilter to the machine by aligning it with the 'INSERT' mark and rotating it firmly to the 'LOCK' position. Ensure it is securely locked to prevent leaks.
  5. Place the glass carafe on the drip tray directly under the portafilter.
  6. Turn the control knob to the 'Brew' position (coffee cup icon). The machine will begin to brew espresso.
  7. Monitor the brewing process. Once the desired amount of espresso is brewed (up to 4 cups), turn the control knob to the 'OFF' (middle) position to stop the flow.
  8. Carefully remove the carafe with the freshly brewed espresso.

  1. Fill a metal frothing pitcher with cold, refrigerated whole milk. Do not fill more than one-third full to allow for expansion.
  2. Turn the control knob to the 'Steam' position (steam icon). The indicator light will illuminate, signaling that the machine is heating up for steaming.
  3. Once the machine is ready (indicator light may change or turn off, refer to specific model behavior), position the steam wand just below the surface of the milk in the pitcher.
  4. Slowly lower the pitcher as the milk expands, keeping the steam wand submerged to create a creamy foam.
  5. When the milk reaches the desired temperature and consistency, turn the control knob to the 'OFF' position.
  6. Immediately wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth to prevent milk residue from drying.

7.2 Descaling

Over time, mineral deposits can build up in the machine, affecting performance. Descale your machine every 2-3 months, or more frequently if you have hard water.

  2. Fill the water tank with the descaling solution.
