Setup

Before First Use:

1. Unpack the coffee maker and all accessories. Remove any packaging materials.
2. Wash the removable parts (water reservoir lid, K Pod holder, ground coffee filter, drip tray, and drip tray plate) in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
3. Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth.
4. Perform a cleansing brew cycle: Fill the water reservoir with clean water to the MAX line. Place an empty mug on the drip tray. Close the lid. Select the largest brew size (24oz) and press the brew button. Discard the hot water after the cycle. Repeat this process 2-3 times to ensure the internal components are clean.

Drip Tray Adjustment:

The drip tray can be adjusted to three different heights to accommodate various mug sizes, including travel mugs up to 7 inches tall.

• To adjust, simply lift the drip tray and reposition it into the desired slot.
• For taller mugs, the drip tray can be removed entirely.

Operating Instructions

General Brewing Steps:

1. Fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water. Do not exceed the MAX fill line. The 42oz tank allows for multiple brews without refilling.
2. Place your mug on the drip tray. Adjust the drip tray height if necessary.
3. Open the brew head lid.
4. Insert either a K-Cup pod into the K Pod holder or ground coffee into the ground coffee filter. Refer to specific instructions below.
5. Close the brew head lid firmly.
6. Select your desired brew size (6oz, 8oz, 10oz, 12oz, or 24oz) using the 'SIZE' button.
7. Select your desired brew type (Regular, Strong, or Over Ice) using the respective buttons.
8. Press the 'BREW' button to start brewing. The indicator light will illuminate.
9. The coffee maker will automatically stop brewing once the cycle is complete.

Using K-Cup Pods:

1. Place the K Pod holder into the brew head.
2. Insert a standard K-Cup pod into the K Pod holder.
3. Follow general brewing steps 5-9.

Using Ground Coffee:

1. Place the ground coffee filter into the brew head.
2. Add your desired amount of ground coffee into the filter. Do not overfill. The included measuring spoon can assist.
3. Follow general brewing steps 5-9.

Brewing Iced Coffee:

For iced coffee, use the 'OVER ICE' setting. This setting uses a lower temperature brew to prevent dilution when brewing over ice.

1. Fill your mug with ice. A 1:1 ratio of ice to coffee is recommended for optimal flavor.
2. Prepare your K-Cup pod or ground coffee as usual.
3. Select either the 6oz or 8oz brew size.
4. Press the 'OVER ICE' button.
5. Press the 'BREW' button to start.

Maintenance

Daily Cleaning:

• Always unplug the coffee maker before cleaning.
• Remove and empty the K Pod holder or ground coffee filter after each use. Rinse under running water.
• Empty and clean the drip tray and drip tray plate.
• All removable parts are dishwasher-safe for easy cleaning.
• Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

Descaling:

Mineral deposits from water can build up in your coffee maker over time, affecting performance and taste. The Brewmann coffee maker features an automatic descaling reminder.

• When the 'DESCALE' indicator light illuminates, it is time to descale your machine.
• To descale, fill the water reservoir with a mixture of 1 part white vinegar and 2 parts water, or use a commercial descaling solution according to its instructions.
• Place a large empty mug on the drip tray.
• Press the 'DESCALE' button and then the 'BREW' button to start the descaling cycle.
• After the cycle is complete, discard the solution.
• Run 2-3 cycles with fresh, clean water to rinse out any remaining descaling solution.
• Regular descaling extends the machine's lifespan and maintains optimal brewing performance.
