5. Operating Instructions

This cabinet offers various storage options. Utilize them according to your needs.

5.1. Adjustable Shelves

The shelves in the lower cabinet and upper hutch are adjustable. To change a shelf's height, remove all items from the shelf, lift the shelf, remove the shelf pins from their current holes, reposition them to the desired height, and then place the shelf back onto the pins. Ensure all four pins are securely in place before loading the shelf.

5.2. Drawers

The two drawers are designed for smooth operation. Pull the handles gently to open and push to close. Avoid forcing the drawers, especially when heavily loaded, to prevent damage to the slides.

5.3. Microwave Stand / Countertop Area

The spacious countertop is suitable for placing small appliances such as a microwave, coffee maker, or toaster. Utilize the cable holes on the back panel to route power cords, keeping the area tidy and organized. Ensure appliances have adequate ventilation as per their own instruction manuals.

  • Cleaning: Wipe surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that may damage the finish. Dry immediately with a clean cloth.
  • Spills: Clean up spills immediately to prevent staining or damage to the wood.
  • Hardware: Periodically check all screws and fasteners to ensure they are tight. Retighten as necessary.
  • Sunlight and Heat: Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or extreme heat, which can cause fading or warping.

  • Cabinet is wobbly:
    • Ensure all fasteners are securely tightened.
    • Verify the cabinet is on a level surface. Use shims if necessary.
    • Confirm anti-tip devices are properly installed and secured to the wall.
  • Drawers do not slide smoothly:
    • Check that the drawer slides are correctly installed and aligned.
