3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Locating Your Items

Once paired, you can locate your items using the Google Find Hub app:

  • Within Bluetooth Range (approx. 100 meters): Tap "Play sound" in the app. The Smart Tag will emit a loud sound (over 100dB) to help you pinpoint its exact location.
  • Outside Bluetooth Range: The app will display the last known location of your Smart Tag on Google Maps, guiding you to its general vicinity.
  • Find Nearby Devices: Use the "Find nearby" feature in the app. As you move closer to the device, a visual indicator will become rounder, helping you narrow down the search area.

3.2 "Lost" Mode

If an item with your Smart Tag is lost, you can activate "Lost" mode in the Find Hub app. This feature leverages the vast network of Android devices to help locate your item, even if it's far away. The location will be updated through other Android devices that come into proximity with your tag.

3.3 Sharing Device Location

The Find Hub app allows you to easily share the location of your Smart Tag with family, friends, or colleagues. This is useful for tracking shared items like car keys or luggage when traveling together. Access this feature through the device settings within the app.

The Smart Tag has an IP66 rating, meaning it is resistant to dust and water splashes. It can withstand water immersion up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. This makes it suitable for outdoor activities and provides protection against rain or accidental splashes. However, it is not recommended for prolonged submersion or high-pressure water exposure.
