Initial Setup

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future transport or storage.
2. Cleaning: Wash the water tank, drip tray, and capsule adapters with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
3. Placement: Place the machine on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface near a power outlet. Ensure adequate ventilation.
4. Fill Water Tank: Fill the water tank with fresh, cold drinking water up to the MAX line. Do not exceed the MAX line.
5. First Use Cycle (Priming):
   • Plug the machine into a grounded power outlet.
   • Place a large cup (at least 200ml) on the drip tray.
   • Do not insert any capsule or ground coffee adapter.
   • Press the power button to turn on the machine. It will preheat.
   • Once preheated, press either the 70ml or 110ml brew button. The machine will dispense hot water. Repeat this process 2-3 times to flush the internal system.

Operating Instructions

Brewing Coffee (Hot)

1. Fill Water Tank: Ensure the water tank is filled with fresh, cold water.
2. Power On: Plug in the machine and press the power button. Wait for the machine to preheat (indicator light will stabilize).
3. Insert Adapter:
   • For Capsules (Nes Original/DG): Open the brewing head, insert the appropriate capsule adapter, then place the capsule into the adapter. Close the brewing head firmly.
   • For Ground Coffee: Open the brewing head, insert the ground coffee adapter. Use the scoop to add 12-14g of fine ground coffee into the adapter. Tamp lightly if desired. Close the brewing head firmly.
4. Adjust Cup Stand: Adjust the cup stand height (7cm, 9cm, or 11cm) to fit your cup.
5. Select Brew Size: Place your cup on the drip tray. Press either the 70ml (ristretto) or 110ml (lungo) button. The machine will begin brewing.
6. Enjoy: Once brewing is complete, remove your cup. The machine will automatically shut off after 15 minutes of inactivity.

Brewing Coffee (Cold)

The machine supports cold extraction for iced beverages.

1. Follow steps 1-4 for hot brewing.
2. Select Cold Brew Mode: Press the dedicated cold brew button (refer to specific button combination in the machine's quick guide). The indicator light will change to signify cold brew mode.
3. Select Brew Size: Press either the 70ml or 110ml button. The machine will dispense cold water through the capsule/ground coffee.
4. Enjoy: Add ice and any desired additions to your cold brew.

Customizing Cup Sizes (Memory Function)

The machine allows you to program your preferred brew volume for the 70ml and 110ml buttons.

1. Place a cup under the dispenser.
2. Press and hold the desired brew size button (70ml or 110ml).
3. Release the button when the desired volume of coffee has been dispensed into your cup. The machine will memorize this setting for future use with that button.

Care and Maintenance

Daily Cleaning

• Drip Tray: Empty and rinse the drip tray after each use or when full.
• Water Tank: Empty and rinse the water tank daily. Refill with fresh water.
• Capsule Adapters: Remove and rinse the used capsule adapter after each brew. For ground coffee adapter, discard grounds and rinse thoroughly.
• Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a damp, soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

Auto-Cleaning System

The machine features a 120-second auto-clean function.

1. Ensure the water tank is filled.
2. Place a large empty cup under the dispenser.
3. Refer to your quick start guide for the specific button combination to activate the auto-clean cycle. Typically, this involves pressing and holding two buttons simultaneously.
4. The machine will run hot water through its system for approximately 120 seconds.
5. Discard the water from the cup.

Descaling

It is recommended to descale the machine every 3 months, or more frequently in areas with hard water, to prevent mineral buildup and maintain performance.

1. Empty the water tank.
2. Fill the water tank with a descaling solution suitable for coffee machines (follow descaler manufacturer's instructions for dilution).
3. Place a large container under the dispenser.
4. Activate the descaling cycle (refer to your quick start guide for specific instructions, as this often involves a unique button sequence).
5. Once the descaling solution has run through, rinse the water tank thoroughly and fill with fresh water.
6. Run 2-3 cycles with fresh water to flush out any remaining descaling solution.
