3. Product Overview

4. Setup
4.1 SIM Card and Micro SD Card Installation
- Locate the SIM card slot and Micro SD card slot, usually protected by a rubber cover on the camera body.
- Carefully open the cover.
- Insert a 4G/LTE SIM card into the designated slot. Ensure it is correctly oriented.
- Insert a Micro SD card (up to 256 GB) into its slot for local storage.
- Close the cover securely to maintain the IP66 weatherproof rating.
Note: The camera requires a 4G/LTE SIM card for cellular connectivity. Ensure the SIM card has an active data plan.
4.2 Mounting the Camera
The camera is designed for wall mounting. Choose a location that provides the desired viewing angle and is within reach of a power source.
- Use the provided mounting template to mark the drill holes on the wall.
- Drill holes at the marked positions.
- Insert wall plugs into the drilled holes.
- Align the camera's mounting bracket with the holes and secure it using the provided screws.
- Adjust the camera's angle as needed after mounting.

4.3 Power Connection
Connect the provided DC 12V 1A power adapter to the camera's power input port and then plug it into a power outlet. The camera will power on automatically.
4.4 App Installation and Pairing
- Download the official Dahua surveillance application (e.g., DMSS) from your smartphone's app store (iOS App Store or Google Play Store).
- Create an account and log in.
- Tap the '+' icon to add a new device.
- Select 'Scan QR Code' and scan the QR code located on the camera or its packaging.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the pairing process. This may involve Bluetooth pairing for initial setup.
- Once paired, you can access the live view and configure camera settings.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Live View and Pan/Tilt Control
- Open the Dahua app and select your camera from the device list.
- The live video feed will appear.
- Use the on-screen controls to pan (rotate horizontally) and tilt (rotate vertically) the camera lens to adjust the viewing area.
5.2 Two-Way Audio
- In the live view interface, tap the microphone icon to speak through the camera's speaker.
- Tap the speaker icon to listen to audio from the camera's microphone.
5.3 Recording and Playback
- Recordings are automatically saved to the inserted Micro SD card or cloud storage (if subscribed).
- To view recorded footage, navigate to the 'Playback' section within the app.
- Select the desired date and time to review events.
5.4 AI Detection and Smart Tracking
- Access the camera settings in the app to configure AI detection for people and vehicles.
- Enable 'Smart Tracking' to allow the camera to automatically follow detected moving objects within its field of view.
- Adjust sensitivity and detection zones as needed.
5.5 Night Vision
- The camera automatically switches to night vision mode in low-light conditions.
- WIZ-Color technology provides full-color night vision up to 30 meters using integrated white light illuminators.
- Infrared (IR) LEDs also provide black and white night vision.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning the Camera
- Ensure the camera is powered off before cleaning.
- Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the camera body.
- For the lens, use a lens cleaning cloth and a specialized lens cleaning solution to avoid scratches.
- Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
6.2 Firmware Updates
- Regularly check for firmware updates through the Dahua app.
- Firmware updates can improve performance, add new features, and enhance security.
- Follow the app's instructions carefully during the update process. Do not power off the camera during an update.
6.3 Micro SD Card Management
- Periodically check the status of the Micro SD card in the app.
- Format the Micro SD card regularly (e.g., every few months) to maintain optimal recording performance. This will erase all stored data.
- Replace the Micro SD card if it shows signs of degradation or error.
