  • Ensure the mounting surface (wall or roof) is structurally sound and capable of supporting the weight of the mount and the Starlink dish, especially in high wind conditions.
  • Use appropriate tools and fasteners for your specific mounting surface. Consult a professional if unsure.
  • Avoid installing near power lines, gas lines, or other hazardous obstructions.
  • Do not attempt installation during adverse weather conditions (e.g., strong winds, rain, lightning).
  • Keep children and pets away from the installation area.

Installation Instructions

Proper installation is critical for optimal performance and safety. Follow these steps carefully.

1. Choose a Mounting Location

Select a location on your wall or roof that provides a clear, unobstructed view of the sky, free from trees, buildings, or other potential signal blockers. Consider the path of the Starlink cable to ensure it can be routed safely and effectively.

2. Assemble the Mount

  1. Unpack all components and identify the main mount sections.
  2. Connect the adjustable pole sections. The mount features an adjustable length from approximately 30 inches to 42 inches (76 cm to 107 cm). Adjust the length as needed for your specific installation requirements, ensuring sufficient clearance from obstacles.
  3. Securely fasten all connections using the provided hardware. Do not overtighten.

3. Mount to Surface

  1. Hold the assembled mount against the chosen surface and mark the drilling points for the mounting plate.
  2. Drill pilot holes as recommended for your specific fasteners and mounting surface.
  3. Attach the mounting plate securely to the wall or roof using the appropriate screws and anchors. Ensure it is level and firmly attached.
  4. Attach the main mount assembly to the mounting plate.

4. Attach Starlink Dish

Carefully attach your Starlink Performance (Gen 3) Dish to the mount according to the Starlink dish's own instructions. Ensure it is seated correctly and secured.

Adjustments

The Burbifro mount allows for precise adjustments to optimize your Starlink dish's signal reception.

Adjusting Tilt Angle

The mount features a 160-degree tilt adjustment capability. This allows you to fine-tune the angle of your Starlink dish to achieve the best possible signal strength and avoid obstructions. Loosen the adjustment bolts, set the desired angle, and then securely tighten the bolts to lock the position.

Maintenance

The Burbifro Starlink mount is constructed from durable metal designed to withstand various environmental conditions.

  • Regular Inspection: Periodically inspect the mount and all fasteners for any signs of loosening, corrosion, or damage, especially after severe weather.
  • Cleaning: Clean the mount with a damp cloth as needed to remove dirt or debris. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Environmental Durability: The mount is built to endure harsh environments including sun, downpour, blizzards, and storms. However, extreme conditions may still require inspection.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Starlink mount, consider the following:

  • Poor Signal:
    • Check for obstructions (trees, buildings) in the dish's line of sight.
    • Adjust the tilt angle of the dish using the mount's adjustment feature to optimize signal reception.
    • Ensure the mount is securely fastened and not shifting.
  • Mount Instability:
    • Verify all mounting screws and bolts are tightened.
    • Confirm the mounting surface is solid and not compromised.
    • Re-check the assembly of the adjustable pole sections.
  • Corrosion:
    • While designed for durability, inspect for any signs of rust or material degradation. Clean and apply protective coatings if necessary.
