6.2 Torque Sensor Operation

The integrated torque sensor precisely measures your pedaling force and adjusts the motor's output accordingly. This results in a more intuitive and responsive riding experience compared to traditional cadence sensors. The harder you pedal, the more assistance the motor provides, offering smoother starts and improved performance on inclines and varied terrain.

  • Tires: Check tire pressure before each ride. Refer to the tire sidewall for recommended pressure.
  • Brakes: Inspect brake pads and rotors for wear. Ensure brake levers are responsive and provide adequate stopping power.
  • Chain: Keep the chain clean and lubricated for smooth shifting and to prevent wear.
  • Battery Care: Store the battery in a cool, dry place. If storing for extended periods, charge it to 50-70% every few months.
  • Fasteners: Periodically check all bolts and screws for tightness, especially on critical components like handlebars, wheels, and seat post.

8. Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your gorise EB008 Electric Bike.

  • Bike Not Starting / Error E002: If the bike fails to start or displays an "E002" error, first check that the battery is fully charged and securely seated. Ensure the key is in the 'ON' position. If the issue persists, consult the display's error code guide (if available) or contact customer support.
  • Inefficient Display / Throttle Issues: If the display is not functioning correctly or the throttle response is inconsistent, check all cable connections to the display and motor. A faulty display can sometimes be replaced to resolve these issues.
  • Loss of Power Assist: Verify the battery charge level. Ensure the PAS level is set correctly on the display. Check for any loose connections to the motor or controller.
  • Brake Noise/Ineffectiveness: Inspect brake pads for wear and ensure they are clean. Check brake rotor for damage or contamination. Adjust brake cable tension if necessary.
