Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your e-bike:
- Battery Care:
- Charge the battery regularly, even if not in use, to maintain its health.
- Avoid completely draining the battery.
- Store the battery in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Tire Pressure: Check tire pressure before each ride. The 20"x4.0 fat tires typically require lower pressure than standard bike tires; refer to the tire sidewall for recommended PSI.
- Brake Inspection: Regularly inspect brake pads for wear and brake levers for proper tension. Adjust or replace as needed.
- Chain Lubrication: Keep the chain clean and lubricated to ensure smooth shifting and prevent rust.
- Suspension Check: Periodically inspect the front and rear suspension components for proper function and signs of damage.
- General Cleaning: Clean the bike with a damp cloth. Avoid using high-pressure washers directly on electrical components.
- Fastener Check: Periodically check all bolts and fasteners for tightness, especially after the first few rides.
