1. Introduction

1.1 Safety Information

Your YITAHOME ice maker is ETL certified, ensuring it meets rigorous safety standards. Always adhere to the following safety guidelines:

  • Ensure the appliance is properly grounded.

2. Setup

2.1 Placement

The YITAHOME ice maker can be installed freestanding or under a counter. Ensure the chosen location has:

  • Adequate ventilation around the unit.
  • A stable, level surface.
  • Proximity to a 110 Volt power outlet.
  • Access to a water source and drain.

2.2 Water Connection

Your ice maker supports two water inlet methods: direct tap water supply or bottled water supply.

  • Tap Water Supply: Connect the provided water inlet hose to a potable water source and the ice maker's water inlet port. Ensure the upgraded water filter is installed in-line to purify tap water.
  • Bottled Water Supply: Place a 3-5 gallon water bottle on the top-loading dispenser. Ensure the tap water switch is turned OFF when using bottled water.

2.3 Initial Cleaning

Before first use, it is recommended to run the automatic cleaning cycle to ensure the internal components are clean. Refer to Section 4.1 for instructions on initiating the automatic cleaning process.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Control Panel Overview

The intuitive touch control panel allows for easy operation and customization of ice production.

3.2 Ice Production

Once connected to power and water, press the 'On/Off' button to start ice production. The machine will produce 40 clear ice cubes every 8-15 minutes, with a daily capacity of 120 lbs.

3.3 Adjustable Ice Thickness

You can adjust the thickness of the ice cubes using the control panel. Press the '+' or '-' buttons next to the timer display to cycle through thickness settings. A smaller value indicates thinner ice (8-10 min), while a larger value indicates thicker ice (16-20 min).

3.4 24-Hour Reservation Function

Utilize the timer function to schedule ice production up to 24 hours in advance. This feature allows for energy savings and ensures ice is ready when needed. Press and hold the 'Timer' button for 3 seconds to enter the scheduled boot mode.

3.5 Ice Storage and Retention

The ice maker features a 33 lbs storage bin. With 20% thicker cyclopentane insulation, the machine can retain ice for up to 8 hours, compared to standard 6-hour retention. A blue light inside the bin helps slow melting.

3.6 Using the Ice Scoop and Bucket

Use the provided ice scoop to retrieve ice from the storage bin. The ice bucket can be used for temporary storage or serving.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Automatic Cleaning System

The ice maker features an automatic cleaning function to maintain hygiene and prevent mineral buildup. To initiate the cleaning cycle, press the 'Clean' button on the control panel. The machine will perform a self-cleaning process.

4.2 Water Filter Maintenance

4.3 General Cleaning

Periodically wipe down the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. For the interior, after draining the water, wipe surfaces with a mild, food-safe cleaning solution and rinse thoroughly. Ensure the protective film is peeled off after receiving the unit.

5. Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Ice maker not producing ice. No water supply; power issue; machine in standby. Check water connection and supply. Ensure power is connected. Press 'On/Off' button.
"Lack Water" indicator is on. Water reservoir empty or supply interrupted. Refill bottled water or check tap water connection.
"Ice Full" indicator is on. Ice storage bin is full. Remove ice from the storage bin.
Ice cubes are too thin/thick. Ice thickness setting needs adjustment. Adjust ice thickness using the '+' or '-' buttons on the control panel.
Unusual noise during operation. Machine not level; internal component issue. Ensure the machine is on a level surface. If noise persists, contact support.
