1. Introduction

The HK22 drone is a lightweight, foldable quadcopter designed for both beginners and hobbyists. It features a 4K camera for high-quality photo and video capture, intelligent GPS flight modes, and powerful brushless motors for stable flight.

3. Setup

3.1 Drone Assembly

  1. Unfold the drone arms carefully until they lock into place.
  2. Insert a fully charged Intelligent Battery into the battery compartment at the rear of the drone until it clicks securely.
  3. Short-press the power button on the drone, then long-press it to turn on the drone. The indicator lights will illuminate.

3.2 Remote Controller Setup

  1. Extend the phone holder from the top of the remote controller.
  2. Place your smartphone into the phone holder.
  3. Short-press the power button on the remote controller, then long-press it to turn it on. The remote will automatically connect to the drone.

3.3 App Installation & Wi-Fi Connection

  1. Download the "HK22 DRONE App" from your smartphone's app store.
  2. Enable Wi-Fi on your smartphone and connect to the network named "HK22_XXXXXX".
  3. Open the HK22 DRONE App to view the live feed and access advanced flight features.

3.4 Calibration

For stable flight and accurate GPS positioning, perform the following calibrations:

  • Compass Calibration: At startup and after any crash, press the compass calibration button on the remote control, or enter the HK22 DRONE app, select "GO TO FLY" - "Setting" - "Calibrate".
  • Gyro Calibration: Place the drone on a flat surface. After connecting the remote and Wi-Fi, move both remote control joysticks simultaneously to the 7 o'clock position to initiate gyro calibration for a steadier flight.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Flight Controls

  • Takeoff: Ensure the drone is on a flat surface. Use the one-key takeoff button on the remote or app.
  • Landing: Use the one-key landing button on the remote or app. The drone will descend and land automatically.
  • Altitude Hold: The drone automatically locks at a set height, allowing you to focus on camera operation.

4.2 Intelligent Flight Modes

The HK22 drone offers several intelligent flight modes via the HK22 DRONE App:

  • Follow Me: The drone will automatically follow your smartphone's GPS signal, capturing footage as you move.
  • Circle Fly: The drone will orbit around a designated point, providing dynamic circular shots.
  • Waypoint Flight: Draw a flight path on the app interface, and the drone will fly along the path you created.
  • Auto Return: The drone automatically returns to its takeoff point if the battery is low, signal is lost, or the Auto Return button is pressed.

4.3 Camera Operation

  • Photo & Video: Capture crisp 4K photos (4096x3072P) and smooth 2K videos (2048x1088P) directly to your smartphone or a self-purchased microSD card.
  • Adjustable Camera: The camera's 90° tilt adjustment and 100° FOV lens allow for versatile wide-angle shots.
  • 5GHz Transmission: Ensures a stable and responsive live feed to your smartphone.
  • Gesture Control: Flash a peace sign to snap a picture or face your palm to the camera to start recording video.

4.4 Speed Modes

The drone offers 2 speed modes (Low and High) to accommodate different skill levels. Select the appropriate speed via the remote controller or app for a comfortable flight experience.

4.5 Headless Mode

Press the headless function button on the remote control for about 4 seconds to enter headless mode. In this mode, you do not need to worry about the drone's orientation. Press the button again to exit headless mode.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Battery Care

  • Charge batteries using the provided Type-C USB cables.
  • Do not overcharge or over-discharge batteries.
  • Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

5.2 Propeller Replacement
